Thank you, Jimmy, for such an awesome idea. I think I will enjoy sending out thanks, and perhaps putting a little snark in there too each Friday.
Thank you, local farm for your pumpkin patch! My family and I felt right at home searching for ‘the’ perfect pumpkin, while enjoying all the pumpkin patch had to offer 🙂
Thank you, Pinterest, for being my Google. Who knew cookie cutters could double as pumpkin carving tools. Check out the flame eyes on our pumpkin, they’re really leafs ;D
Thank you, daughter, for taking pictures of papa and I. I think it’s awesome that people will see that you DO have a mommy, considering I’m the one always behind the camera. Also, thank you for your paparazzi-like pictures, I feel so famous 🙂
Thank you, Target, for tempting me with this guy…..
I cannot wait to get all crafty this weekend.
Thank you, kiddos, for waiting until the last minute to choose what you want to be for Halloween. This weekend shall be a busy one 🙂
Thank you, Courtney, for being a virtual shoulder to lean on this week. I’m forever grateful for our friendship and your advice. XO
Thank you, FRIDAY!!!! Yes, it’s FRIDAY, we finished another week– let’s all rejoice!!
Friday I’m {always} in love <3
The kids are home today, and we are doing some serious crafting!
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend! Happy Friday!!!
Who do you have a thank you note for this week?
Abby
October 24, 2014 at 11:28 amI love Thank You Notes on Jimmy Fallon! He always has me cracking up. I really like your take on it, too. It looks like you and your family had a great week together. 🙂 That dress you wore at the pumpkin patch is so pretty! And I’m with you, bring on the boots and scarves. Have a wonderful weekend!!
xo Always, Abby

October 25, 2014 at 7:58 amI love Jimmy’s thank you notes, I can be beyond tired, and yet I stay up for his Thank yous 😀
I’ll have to admit doing my own spin on Thank You Notes, is intimidating, I’m in NO way as funny as Jimmy. I’m glad you like take on things 🙂
The dress, I saw it loved it and walked away, and then ran back to it… I just loved it. I’m not one to buy things for myself, which is funny considering I was shopping with MY birthday gift card 😀 ANNNND the dress was on clearance 🙂
Wishing you a wonderful weekend as well!
OXOXOXO

October 24, 2014 at 12:17 pmThat picture at the top is just so, so lovely! And by the way, I’m REALLY liking the pink streaks in your hair. Makes me miss my purple hair.
Wonderful things to be thankful for. Have a great weekend!
MrsA0K2001
October 25, 2014 at 8:00 amI wish I could take credit for it, but it’s a stock photo….
Thank you! I’m loving the pink too, but it’s starting to dull 🙁
I loved your purple hair 🙂
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
XOXOXO

October 24, 2014 at 11:55 pmI did not know you could use cookie cutters on pumpkins either. This was my first year carving a pumpkin. I was surprised at how easy it was. Growing up we never craved pumpkins, but I’m looking forward to doing this each year in the future.
MrsA0K2001
October 25, 2014 at 8:05 amMy mind was blown with the cookie cutters and pumpkins…. you also need a rubber mallet. I’m going to get all cookie cutter crazy with pumpkins next year 🙂
I’m glad you were able to experience pumpkin carving, it’s fun, right? Did you roast the pumpkin seeds?
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
XOXOXO
Sonya
October 25, 2014 at 9:21 amI tried to roast the pumpkin seeds, but I forgot to set a timer and burned them. I love pumpkin seeds, but I usually buy them from the bulk bin. This was my first time trying to roast some fresh pumpkin seeds.
MrsA0K2001
October 25, 2014 at 9:33 amOh no! I almost did the same thing, thankfully I remembered in time… whew!
Hey, it was your first time, you’ll get it next year 🙂
XOXO

October 25, 2014 at 11:48 amWhat a great idea. This would make a good linky – everyone links up their weekly thank you notes.
MrsA0K2001
October 25, 2014 at 2:57 pmThank you! I’m considering making this a linky, it’s already been suggested, and I think I might just do it 🙂
Could I count on you to share your Thank You Notes… pretty please
OXOXO

October 25, 2014 at 6:40 pmhaha, you’re right, in that one photo of you and your husband, it does look pretty paparrazi-style! Pumpkin patches are fun! And I use pinterest as google, too.
MrsA0K2001
October 27, 2014 at 10:28 amRight!?! I have more paparazzi-style pictures, but I didn’t want to look too famous 🙂
I would love to know how American Halloween traditions are viewed in China. Is it true that China celebrates similarly to Dia de los Muertos, but with a lantern festival?
I’m going to Pinterest that 🙂
XOXO
MrsA0K2001
October 27, 2014 at 10:31 amI just Pinterest’ed Teng Chieh, the tradition looks beautiful, with all the lanterns in water and in the sky.

I love Target! Have fun crafting.
MrsA0K2001
October 27, 2014 at 10:40 amThank you, Amber 🙂
I love Target ♡ a little too much. I sometimes distance myself, therefore my wallet doesn’t see the glow of fluorescent Target lights 😀
I crafted my little heart this weekend, and I still have more to do.

October 26, 2014 at 9:44 pmOhh. thank YOU for that video. I’m dancing at my computer. Gives me so many memories.
Also that weather forecast is insane. I think.. I’d like more of that. Although the fireplace nights are special too.
MrsA0K2001
October 27, 2014 at 11:01 amYou’re welcome 🙂 I love the Cure, they remind me of my older sister and my cousin Vanessa. I think I will always close out Thank You Notes with this song 😉 I say this song because, I’m currently playing it, again!
The weather killed my pumpkin 🙁
Fireplace nights are nice 😉

October 27, 2014 at 10:31 amI’m going to teach CC how to use my camera. I want my kids to know that I existed too. You look beautiful and happy at the patch. I’m happy you had fun. I hope you found peace in whatever was bothering you this week. Hugs for you! XOXO

October 27, 2014 at 2:37 pmI love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You notes, they’re hilarious! I think this is a great idea. We should all stop and say thank you for all the little things that mean so much to us but take for granted because life has us all over the place. Great pics of you and the fam!
Have a great new week!
MrsA0K2001
October 28, 2014 at 4:43 pmThanks you!
I agree, we should all take a little time to realize we all have SOMETHING to be thankful for. I’m hoping creating this linkup will encourage thankfulness and laughter 🙂

October 27, 2014 at 3:41 pmWhat a wonderful idea for a weekly post.
I just read “You are a Badass” by Jen Sincero, and she recommends before going to bed every night to write 10 things you are thankful for. It is amazing how great you feel when you are more often coming from a place of gratitude than “I wish I had/was/could…” I know this is something I’ve been needing to work on 🙂
The pictures are beautiful, as always. I love you guys!
P.S. We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and it was almost 90 degrees =/ BUT I’M THANKFUL! lol
MrsA0K2001
October 28, 2014 at 4:55 pmSounds like a great book 🙂
A couple years ago I heard about a woman who took pictures everyday for a year of things she was thankful for, she had enough pictures to cover a wall, and eventually made a book. I don’t remember the name of the book, but that story touched me, it’s the little things….like coffee, rainy days & candles 😉
90* degrees!?!?Yikes! Well, it got into the 80’s here… and killed my pumpkin 🙁
XOXO

October 27, 2014 at 4:01 pmThis is such an awesome post, I love the thank you idea! You are so gorgeous, you should definitely be in front of the camera more often 🙂 I feel like I’m hardly ever in any photos because I’m the one always taking them! I experienced some of that fall weather you speak of while I was out in NC. Super chilly mornings and the afternoons felt amazing.
MrsA0K2001
October 28, 2014 at 5:08 pmOh, Jessica, you’re such a sweetheart 🙂 Thank you!! I always complaining I’m never in any of the pictures, and then when I see the pictures I am in, I complain.
I’m sure you enjoyed NC, although, I know how it is to be gone from “home”, it’s certainly nice to get back 🙂
P.S. I loved seeing pictures of your visit to NC via IG <3 You my friend are gorgeous 🙂
XOXO

October 28, 2014 at 10:04 amWhat a great way to document your appreciation. I find taking photos so soothing. I actually found that focusing on what to capture with a camera, clears my brain of any other thoughts. It becomes a meditation of sorts. Have a great day. Gilly
MrsA0K2001
October 28, 2014 at 5:23 pmThank you, Gilly. I’m asking others to join in Fridays for their own Thank You Notes; I’m hoping it will be a great way for others to be thankful and laugh 🙂
I agree I love picture taking, it’s soothing, and I think you can appreciate your work when your done.

October 28, 2014 at 10:06 amI love that skit on Jimmy Fallon. It’s too funny! And, thank you, Mrs. AOK, for mentioning carving pumpkins with cookie cutters. That’s amazing and awesome!
