I am sorry Thank You Notes is extremely late today… it helps to actually schedule your post. DOH!!! I know some of you have been waiting on my big news, and it’s finally here.
Welcome to Thank You Notes!
I was inspired by Jimmy Fallon and Gratitude to start Thank You Notes, I would love for you to join in! Thank You Notes has become such a wonderful way for me to reflect each week on all the things I’m thankful for, big and small.
Life is good, friends!
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes:
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes had me laughing this week. The pallbearers’ Thank You Note… that one got a slight gasp, but his joke afterward may have got a laugh.
I was running a bit behind, if you guys wouldn’t mind, I have to write out my weekly Thank You Notes…
Thank you, family, for keeping kooky family traditions during this crazy time.
Thank you, beautiful days on the beach, for being the perfect way to start our mornings. Side note: Thank you, sand, for pelting us in the face. Also, thanks for the extra added crunch…
I had sand stuck all over my face thanks to my moisturizer.
Thank you, Edgar Allan Poe, for writing Annabel Lee, which was the muse for this AHHMAZING burger.
This burger may not look that pretty, but oh. my. gosh. believe me when I say it was delectable! (Maybe, Annabel Lee wasn’t photogenic, it’s all good, neither am I.) I couldn’t finish it all, trust me I wanted to! The Annabel Lee burger has a real crab cake on top, if you know the poem you get the connection. 😉 Last week I raved about Poe’s and mentioned it again on Wednesday, all that talk of Poe’s brought us back there for lunch yesterday. 🙂 (We took the kiddos this time, they LOVED it!)
The Gold Bug
Thank you, coffee & books!
Thank you, Sylvia, for teaming up with me! Did you read my Q&A with my dear friend Sylvia? We are running a giveaway!
Thank you, friends! I am lucky to have such wonderful women in my life that I can pick up a phone and call or text. I have laughed SOOOOOO MUCH this week because, friends! Thank you!
ANNNNNND NOW FOR THE NEWS SOME OF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OR THE NEWS YOU SCROLLED DOWN FOR… 😀
Remember about a year and half ago when I posted this?
Well…. now I’m posting this:
Thank you, sanity! I’ve entitled this picture Crazy Eyes. However, I could have entitled it Mombie or Is She Wearing Clothes. Notice the dark circles= lack of sleep. And, yes, I’m wearing clothes. 🙂
Seriously though…
Thank you, babe, for working your ass off and getting this promotion!! I’m proud of you! We cannot wait to see what this adventure has in store for us. 🙂
Thank you, Friday, I’m in love!!!

July 31, 2015 at 11:56 amOk I’m just going to say it…I’m a dumb ass and have no idea if that state is Washington or somewhere else! Are you moving to Seattle?? Wherever it is, so happy for you and the family! I also love that mosaic bug. That’s pretty awesome!

July 31, 2015 at 12:40 pmYou’re not a dumb ass, you’re the geography bee champion! Yes, we’re moving the Seattle area 😉
The Gold Bug is in front of Poe’s on Sullivan’s Island, which is where the story The Gold Bug took place. 😉
Thanks for being happy for us!!
XOXO

July 31, 2015 at 8:26 pmWait. Is that Seattle? I love, love, love Seattle…in the summer. ; 0 My sister went to the University of Washington and I loved visiting. What a great opportunity for you guys. How long do you have to plan for this move? Hopefully, you’r not moving next week, and I hope you’re giving yourself a blogging break so you can pack!
MrsA0K2001
August 3, 2015 at 7:32 amYup. We’re moving to the Seattle area 🙂 I have heard wonderful things about Seattle summers, I’m looking forward to that.
So, maybe instead of my future GP being about a trip to DC, it’s about one of the many places we’ll visit along the way to WA. 🙂
I may actually move next week. 😀 I know it’s crazy!
The relocation company came Friday, and they think they can have us out of here by the 13th. They are actually checking to see if they can get us out sooner.
Thankfully, relocation is packing us. I just have to pack the stuff we’re taking to our corporate housing, the rest goes to storage. So, maybe I won’t take a full break, I’ll just be a little slow on posting and responding…
Thank you for your excitement!
XOXO

July 31, 2015 at 9:09 pmNoooo! Why can’t that state be MA?? Ok, I’m happy for you, honestly. I just liked you being in SC – I always just figured I’d meet you for cookies on our trip down to FL one day. Sigh!
Ok, not about me.
It’s awesome.
I don’t know that Poe poem but the burger looks fantastic.
MrsA0K2001
August 5, 2015 at 3:41 pmI’m sorry. MA would have been cool too. Maybe one day….
Annabel Lee is a love poem, it starts off like this:
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
The burger was fantastic.

August 1, 2015 at 8:24 amCongratulations on the move! How exciting is that?!? Having just completed a cross-town move, I’m not envious of your cross-country move but new places makes for a great time!
And how awesome is that Christmas in July tradition?!?
MrsA0K2001
August 5, 2015 at 3:42 pmThank you! I know this is going to be some work, but I’m excited. 🙂
Christmas in July is so much fun and there is much less pressure 😀

August 1, 2015 at 1:26 pmI have to echo what Tamara said and ask why it can’t be to MA? 😉 But seriously, even more reason to take a trip to the Pacific Northwest like I’ve wanted to do for ages. Good luck with the move, m’dear!
MrsA0K2001
August 5, 2015 at 3:44 pmI know, I’m sorry… MA would have been AWESOME. Although, I’m not sure I would be ready to handle those winters. The winters in IL were harsh…
I would love for you to visit!!
Thank you!
XOXO

August 3, 2015 at 10:31 amThat’s a great idea, I think I will start writing at least one thank you note every week. Our eldest is in Seattle working as a soccer coach, he loves it there. Good luck with your move x

August 3, 2015 at 11:27 amI was not imagining your big news to be a move, but yay for a new adventure!! Congrats to the hubby on the promotion. And that Annabel Lee burger sounds like my kind of burger.

Thank you, I’m quite proud of him.
