I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:
Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes:
Thank You Notes
Thank you, Lowanda!!! Lowanda has to be one of the sweetest bloggers in the whole wide blogging world. 🙂 I was fortunate to meet Lowanda at Bloggy Boot Camp almost two years ago. The BBC was held in Atlanta, but the funny thing is…. we both lived in South Carolina at the time and probably about 30 minutes away from each other. Lowanda has been making me smile with her infectious smile and kind heart since then. And last Friday Lowanda sent a HUGE box of smiles from South Carolina to Washington with this sweet box:
My kids love Ms. Lowanda!! We may have made a song about how awesome Ms. Lowanda is. 🙂 Some people have happy dances (we do too) and some people have make-your-own-happy-song and happy dance, I’m not ashamed. I’ve been making crazy random songs for the kids for YEARS. 😀 Anyone else want to admit to this?
Thank you, She Speaks, for asking me to be in the spotlight! It was such a pleasure. 🙂
Thank you, Snohomish Hard Cider Fest, for selling out. :::Heaviest of heavy eye rolls::: I mean c’mon we finally decide to have a day date to celebrate (early) 15 years of marriage and you SELL OUT ON US! DOH! That’s okay, we ate our sorrows away (because that’s what two people trying to get fit need to do). We shared a MEGA cinnamon roll from the pie place I told you about a few weeks ago. 🙂 We then went home made some burgers on the grill and had our own cider sampling. 😉
I’m not sure what I was doing with my face in this picture…. Actually we both look like we have snarky smirks. Probably who-the-heck-sells-out-of-a-festival snarky smirks 🙂
Thank you, kids, for humoring me and taking this picture but also the pictures at the beach (those are coming). 🙂 I love y’all!
Did your local bookstore have a party for Harry? Ours did, it was okay, I’m sure it was nothing as special as the party they had in Naperville.
I was right. Also they (Naperville) had a Qquidditch match!!
Thank you, babe, for loving me! You.Are.The.Best.Thing. YOU’RE THE BEST THANG, BABY!!! Happy 15 Years, m’love! ( See also Our Soundtrack 2014)
And I didn’t even correct him, because how could you after a sweet text like this 🙂
Picture Time!!
Established 2001
So, this picture. I love it, but do you see that on my back? Some may say it’s light reflecting, others may say a spirit… What say you? If spirit, I’d like to think he or she was enjoying the evening just as much as we were. 🙂
Because I’m such a fancy gal I opted for a lavish dinner on the beach, I even decided to have the whole family present to help us celebrate.
Happy Friday!!!

August 5, 2016 at 5:06 pmHappy Anniversary!! You guys are the cutest! I absolutely adore your family and I love that you included the kids in your celebration. They are growing up knowing what true love and mutual respect looks like. And the life lotto…aww…just touched my heart! ❤ So glad you guys enjoyed the ice cream treats and created a song for me! Stay sweet and enjoy your weekend! ?

August 5, 2016 at 5:18 pmFish and chips, please!
I’m so curious about the new Harry Potter. I’ll probably pull the trigger for our Alaska trip.
As for the light orbs, my mom is a big believer in them! I almost burst her bubble once, talking about light and photography and reflections, but even I can’t explain them. So there’s that!

August 6, 2016 at 12:49 amLike I said on Instagram…love it all! Your husband coined it perfectly. (I don’t know if you watch The Bachelorette (don’t judge if you don’t! Haha!), well I started following the Chad guy on snap bcuz I thought he’d make me laugh with his douchebaggery, but instead I felt sympathy for him. His life is sad. He’s chiseled with money, but doesn’t have anything near what WE have!). THank you to your husband, my husband & sad Chad for reminding me how blessed WE are!

August 6, 2016 at 8:26 amCheers to fifteen years and YAAASSS to Harry Potter. The B&N near me had a midnight part for the HP release but I couldn’t make it. Womp womp! Nevertheless, I’m loving the book, so who needs the party? Also pertinent: Lowanda! I was so fortunate to have been partnered with her for the summer swap and know exactly the type of happiness she can bring with one of her boxes!

August 7, 2016 at 9:14 pmsuch great posts. I went to my local bookstore for the Harry Potter weekend… they just had some colouring stuff… wasn’t that exciting. If it were me, I would have hired a magician to wander about the store or something.

August 7, 2016 at 10:49 pmYou’re in Naperville? I’m in Aurora! That’s awesome. I had no idea they did this for HP this weekend.

August 7, 2016 at 10:57 pmI thought all your pictures were lovely, but I had to stop when I came to the pictures of the food, I had to stop and put my tongue back in my mouth. That’s my kind of eating, right there!

August 9, 2016 at 12:03 pmFirst, congratulations on 15 years of marriage!! <3 The two of you make an adorable couple and add your kids and it's perfection. God bless you guys. I wish you many more happy, healthy, prosperous, love-filled years together! I loved all the pictures. I don't know what that sparkly light was on your back, but whatever it was it had to be all good, it looked so sparkly and magical. I have to admit I do make up little happy jingles all the time. I sing them to my nieces, nephews, husband, dogs, and to myself. Yes, I'm weird and don't care who knows it. 😉 Ha, ha! Have a happy week, my friend! <3 xx

August 12, 2016 at 8:07 amI <3 your family! The photos are so cute 🙂 (And I somehow missed those tattoos before!).
Yay for surprises in the mail.
We were on vacation when the new Harry Potter book came out. We were gonna go to a celebration in this awesome bookstore in the next town over but Eve started dozing off on the way so we had to turn back around and put her down for her nap, sadly. But I am so excited to read all the books with her when she's older!
