What is Thank You Notes? I share a few thank yous for the week and you’re invited, you can linkup your Thank You Notes below. I cannot take credit for Thank You Notes, Jimmy Fallon is my inspiration for this linkup.
His thank you notes are usually funny and a tad bit snarky. I love Fridays!
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes:
Soooooo…. can I thank myself? I’m going to give myself a little pat on the back for not jacking-up my hair. This weekend I decided to chop off my own hair. I had to hype myself up watching a few YouTube videos of other brave souls who did the same first. 😀
So… I feel like taking scissors to my ponytail. Dare me?

Maybe, I should thank my good friend for that time I went to her cosmetology state board exam and sat through a few hair demos. 🙂
Thank you, book lists, for making it hard for me to chose just one book at Barnes and Noble.

Thank you, NFL refs for the stupid “Calvin Johnson” rule, you crushed our hearts and our dreams for our Cowboys.
Sorry for the poor picture quality, we watched the game in the “cave” the darkest room in the house (the loft).
Come to think of it… maybe it was my fault. I am not sure if I ever watched a game in the cave… AND I cut my hair. Yup, I just shared that superstitious thought. DOH!
Thank you, everyone, for you sweet comments and encouragement for me to take on my words this year. I’m trying NOT to stumble.
The final thank you goes to my daughter who made an AWESOME pumpkin pie for us yesterday. Thank you, baby!

January 16, 2015 at 8:04 amLook at you! I am really impressed with your hair-cutting abilities. And on yourself, no less! I most definitely would *NOT* trust myself to cut my own hair or that of anyone else. Nicely done, Dean!

January 16, 2015 at 5:06 pmThank you, Bev! I was insanely nervous, once you chop the ponytail there’s no turning back…. I did have a flight-like moment.
XOXO

January 16, 2015 at 10:16 amI’m still in awe of your haircut! Seriously, I would never be able to do it myself because I know I would never get everything even. But now I really want to look up some videos to see how it’s done. Is there a vlogger that explains it well? You look glam and gorge with your new hair! And your daughter’s pie looks delish!!
MrsA0K2001
January 16, 2015 at 5:14 pmWhy thank you, Karen! I honestly do not remember names, I just looked for DIY short haircut. 😀 I tried to tell myself it’s another DIY project *you can do it*, this was of course, after I had of pile of my hair in my hand and a tinge of fear.
The pie WAS so good! My youngest daughter (9) made her own pie today, well my 12 yo made the crust, and my 9yo made her own filling. These girls aren’t helping my battle with the bulge.

My husband loves my short hair! Maybe, it takes him back down memory lane when we first met. 🙂
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

January 16, 2015 at 8:31 pmShort and snazzy is the way to go for the upcoming Spring! I think your new hair looks great. I trimmed my ends last night to freshen them up. Sounds like you had an awesome week lady! 🙂

January 17, 2015 at 11:15 amThank you, Tenns. I was scared, but it felt SO good to shed that dead weight. I actually want to go shorter, but I’m too scared to do that on my own. 🙂
Happy Weekend!

January 17, 2015 at 8:48 pmYou did an awesome job on your hair. I need my sides cut and I thought about trying it. However, I’m quite sure I would jack my hair up.

January 19, 2015 at 7:48 amThank you! You will have to let me know if you do it. 🙂
I’ve cut my hair in the past but this was the shortest I’ve ever cut it by myself. I cut my girls’ hair, I’m actually layering my 12 year old’s hair today. 😀

January 18, 2015 at 12:06 pmWow, nice work on the hair! I would never have the guts to do it but it’s wonderful. I absolutely love it.
And I wish someone would make me a pumpkin pie! Just because fall is over does not mean I’m over it!
Jimmy Fallon is cracking me up right now. Randy Johnson!

January 19, 2015 at 7:51 amThank you! I’m loving the short hair, but I want to go shorter, I’m not brave enough to do that on my own.
Right!– I love fall.
I love my little pumpkin pie maker, my youngest made a banana pudding pie the next day… I swear they’re working against Mama’s get fit plan. 🙂 I love those little bakers!
Haha! Big Unit!

January 18, 2015 at 2:49 pmCute hair. I cut my hair myself once – when I was a poor college student. The next time I visited a hairstylist she told me to never do that again.

January 19, 2015 at 7:54 amThank you!
Oh no!! I’ve cut my hair in the past, but never this short. I cut my girls’ hair too. Now, I’m scared, I hope I’m doing okay.

January 18, 2015 at 5:19 pmI can’t believe you cut your own hair and it turned out that well! NO way could I do that… but my hair is that length to start with, so there’s not too much room for error!
MrsA0K2001
January 19, 2015 at 9:39 amThank you. I wouldn’t cut my own hair any shorter, although I want to.

January 20, 2015 at 10:46 amyou cut your own hair?! **gasp** It turned out beautiful!! My mom cuts her own hair, too. Come to think of it, so does my husband. LOL You guys are a rare, brave bunch.

January 20, 2015 at 8:02 pmThanks! Niceee, happy to be a part of the B-R-A-V-E crew, crew sounds more hardcore than bunch. 😀

Chastity
January 23, 2015 at 10:34 amGirl, you have so much talent! What can you not do? If I tried to cut my hair I’d have to have it shaved off. Straight lines are not my thing. But you look AMAZING! You are so beautiful inside and out. I’ve missed you – but I’m back from hibernation. Have a fantastico weekend! xoxo
MrsA0K2001
January 23, 2015 at 4:53 pmAw thank you, Chastity. I swear you are too good to me.
I usually cannot cut a straight line, but thankfully my hair came out pretty good. WHEW!
Welcome out of hibernation 🙂

January 28, 2015 at 4:24 pmI am super impressed with your haircut. The most I’ve done was a bang. They were crooked. every.time. Argh!
MrsA0K2001
January 28, 2015 at 7:03 pmThank you! I’ve cut my bangs too, for some reason the bangs are more nerve wrecking, probably because they frame your face.
Thanks for stopping by.
