Welcome!

C’mon in.. I’m super excited to open the drapes, light the candles, sip some coffee with you, and show you around my new home.  For the longest time I was considering moving from my old home on Blogger, to WordPress; don’t get me wrong Blogger was good to me, but it was time for a change.  Thankfully, I didn’t have to make the move alone, I had wonderful help, my sweet friend Becca, is the reason this blog makes sense.  Becca has been such a sweetheart throughout the moving process guiding me, not losing her patience with indecisive-me, and creating a nice clean welcoming design I’m in LOVE with.  I’m forever thankful for her help and guidance.

Becca helped me stage my new home, but I’m ready to fill this home with many new memories, laughs, and an occasional rant.  The walls here are still a bit bare, but I imagine it won’t take me long to fill them with art 🙂

Blogging has been a long journey for me, one that I’ve given up on, and restarted again countless times.  Mrs. AOK, a Work In Progress, started off with a different name, I blogged about tutus and hairbands I sold on ETSY. However, with finishing up my degree, babies, and working for an online magazine, things fell by the waist side.  I quit selling on Etsy, neglected my blog and lived life… silently missing blogging.  I would pop in from time-to-time to post a quick update or a new find via Etsy, but never stuck around long enough to become a…. blogger.  Last summer after finally finishing my degree, I committed myself to my little home on the WWW. I cannot tell you how much blogging has done for me, it’s been a beautiful roller coaster of a ride; I’ve made SO many lovely new friends, found my voice, and now my new home.

I’m happy to mark my one year of being a blogger with my new home.  I cannot wait to share this space with you! What are you waiting for, go take the home tour 🙂
