Marilyn-Monroe

As much as I love Marilyn, I am not sure the two of us have much in common.  And when I say I love Marilyn, I mean it. My Pinterest has some of her best quotes saved as well as her beautiful photos, come on she was gorgeous.

There’s also this.  See there’s Marilyn next to love 🙂

And I own this…

Marilyn, love her or hate her, has some of the greatest quotes.  For some reason this quote was hard for me, I couldn’t think of anything.  I mean who doesn’t love shoes and who doesn’t feel pretty in a nice pair?  Why, is that hard?  I love shoes! However I am not rocking Jimmy Choo’s shoes and to be honest with you more than half the time I do not even wear heels.

My favorite pumped up kicks (the mommy years, too bad you didn’t catch me in my younger years)

Chucks, can you go wrong with a fresh clean pair of Chucks? I think not.  I also use a pair of Chucks for Crossfit, I certainly feel as though I’m conquering things in these bad boys.

It’s a Chucks kind of day. #DeadliftDay

I love m’boots! I’m from Texas y’all I LOVE BOOTS. I believe a good pair of jeans and boots can get me through the day. womens-russet-rebel-fatbaby-saddle-14930.1.1664x1474 Party of Five King Street Chanclas! Sure Lady Gaga isn’t a fan, but Lady GaGa isn’t a mother in South Carolina, plus she wore a meat suit. A cute pair of chanclas on the beach or in sunny Florida, YES!

Audrey and I Peep-toe pumps!! I love a good peep-toe pump they make me feel super feminine and dare I say… sexy. 🙂 Okay, I couldn’t find a picture of me in my peep-toes on this here computer, so this will have to work, just imagine a little peepage going on.

I had to try these on Maybe in my next life #Shoes   A photo posted by Mrs.AOK (@mrs_aok) on

I love these shoes too.  Let’s face it, I’m a Levi-wearing-gal, pairing these with my jeans- boom I’m fancy! 🙂

My Shoes

Honorable mention, TOMS.  I do not have a pair, but I don’t mind buying them for my family because #ONEFORONE.

However, the shoes never “make” me, they may assist, but never make.

Do you have a favorite pair of shoes, that help you conquer the day?

I love Toms. Those are my go-to shoes. Do you know I have never owned a pair of chucks in my life. Never, ever. I am not really a sneaker kind of gal. I have never been patient enough to sit down and tie my shoes. I’d rather slide them on and walk out the door. Plus living in AZ I spend most of my time in sandals! I also don’t own cowboy boots. That is something I have been meaning to change. I just cannot find the perfect pair. XO

      NO CHUCKS!?!
I’m going to get myself a pair of Toms; I will probably borrow my daughter’s first to see if they’re my cup of tea. 🙂 She has a lace-up pair and slide ons. I’m with you on the sandals.
I want a collection of cowboy boots like the Pioneer Woman (Ree Drummond).
      XOXO

La chancla!!! hahahaha I’m always learning something new with you! In my house growing up, it was usually a hair comb…ah, memories.

And I see my face up there, that shocked me LOL! Thanks for sharing my post 🙂

I agree that Marilyn was gorgeous. I was just thinking about Crossfit yesterday! I have to do some research on it… I love those studded heels and I’m also a big fan of boots. ♥♥♥

Oh snap! Not the comb… it’s better than the brush.

I hope you do not mind that we put your picture up.?.
You’re welcome, but thanks goes to YOU for sharing with US.

I am not a Crossfit Pro, but I’m willing to answer any questions I can! 🙂
Thanks for linking up again this week, I enjoyed your post.
      XOXO

I neeeeed some cowboy boots. I went to see Eric Church on Tuesday and I was just wearing my regular boots, but I saw all these cute cowboy boots and I was swooning. 🙂

I’m so not a shoe person, though. For me, I like versatile, neutral shoes that go with everything, lol. I know, I’m boring. 🙂

You are FAAAAAAR from boring, my sweet dear. I still have oodles to learn about you AND you’re a writer- writers are deep. You know what I mean, don’t you? The thoughts that are forever floating, the words that ache in you mind, the random stories that wake you from your sleep… that’s deep yo!

I need a new pair of cowboy boots. So, how was the concert?
      XOXO

I used to have a favorite pair of shoes – they were huge heels and this pretty pink color with flowers on the toes. They were hot. We went out to see fireworks one night in San Francisco and when we came home one of the shoes was destroyed by the dog who hated thunderstorms!
Ah, it was so sad and funny.
These days it’s all about summer sandals because otherwise, it’s icky snowboots! I used to be quite the shoe girl, though.

      Those shoes sound cute!
I use to have tons of cute shoes, I don’t know why I got rid of them. 🙁 I feel like style has come full circle and I could possible wear them again.
I’m with you sandals and boots here too.
      XOXO

I have a pair of brown boots that come up just below my knees that I love to wear with a pair of skinny jeans or leggings. I feel like I have a little extra hop in my step (or something like that!) when I wear them 🙂
