Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!! How was it? Are you still in a food coma?  If you cooked the Turkey how did it turn out? Are you still eating left overs?  Did you commence putting up the Holiday decorations?? Hey, it’s not #AskAwayFriday without some questions right??

For those of you who aren’t familiar with #AskAwayFriday it’s an amazing way to meet new bloggers, make friends and ask some questions to get to know them better!  10 questions are exchanged and answered on your partner’s blog, you can get as creative as you want and even get into our purses!

As always, tried and true we have the partners in crime, the ladies who created #AskAwayFriday…the wonderful Penny from The Real Housewife of Caroline County and Amber from Bold Fab Mom!!

The Real Housewife of Caroline County

Our co-hosts for the month of November have been amazing! We are sad to see them go but they are always awesome with their weekly #AskAwayFriday contributions and we look forward to seeing their posts in December!

Dean aka Mrs_AOK is pretty freaking amazing!  She’s been a part of #AskAwayFriday as long as it’s been around I believe, which is pretty impressive!  She’s become a great friend to me and the other ladies involved in #AskAwayFriday each week and I’m super excited she’s moving to the East Coast!

Next up is the wonderful Ophelia from LatinaMamaRama, we’ve really enjoyed her joining in on #AskAwayFriday, she always has some really insightful and beautiful things to say!

And last, but certainly not least is Sarah from Lomholt’s Family…she’s a really great gal from Iowa and I really enjoy our little chats, she’s become a good friend and a friendly face each week on #AskAwayFriday!  She’s always up for exchanging with anyone and so friendly!

Okay, now that we’ve met everyone I’m going to add in a shameless plug on behalf of Penny & Mrs_AOK.  Enter into the Holiday Nail Polish GIVEAWAY!!!  There are 3 prizes (so 3 times the chances to win!) and they are all awesome!

Now that we’ve got all the business out of the way, let’s get into Week 17 of #AskAwayFriday!

This week I’m swapping Q&A’s with my girl Penny @ The Real Housewife of Caroline County! Penny and I have become #BBFs via Twitter {oh how I love Twitter} I have even had the pleasure of meeting Penny via a G+ Hangout.
I love building bloggy friendships; I have to say I’m one lucky gal I’m humbled with such an amazing group of #BBFs that I’ve made through the blog community.  Penny is one of those sweet people in my life, I’m thankful for!
Now, that I’m moving to the East Coast, I look forward to meeting up with Penny and a few of my other East Coast homies 🙂

Speaking of me moving, last week and this week has been and will be crazy for me.  I apologize for being behind on #AAF posts and comments, I hope to get back on track.  I’m moving this week! I should arrive in South Carolina on Thanksgiving day!!!

Well let’s get on to the Q&A shall we….

1.  What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Are you Turkey or Ham? Ever tried a Turducken (Turkey, Chicken, Duck)?

First off… cheater, cheater, pumpkin pie eater! That’s more than one question 😉
Favorite dish- stuffing.
Turkey for sure.
Nope, I’ve never had a turducken, before but moving to SC, I think that may be an option 😛

2.  Besides your family, what is something you are most thankful for?

Our health, I’m happy we are all healthy, and happy. Last Thanksgiving we were sick 🙁
Although, this move has created a bit of stress, I’m more than thankful we are starting our new adventure as a family together.

3.  Do you have any traditions for Thanksgiving? Do you sit and watch football or do you start putting up Holiday lights?

Oh Penny, you know me… I’m a football-loving-gal! We watch our games with dinner and then eat pie late with a holiday movie. Lights go up on Friday 🙂

4.  With the move happening the week of Thanksgiving what are your plans?  Are you going to celebrate with family early and do something small in the new place?

We don’t have any plans, other than get to SC safely hopefully in time to watch the game, eat some pizza, and maybe go see Frozen.

5.  What’s your favorite memory for this time of year?

Baking with the kiddos.  I love that the kiddos are so involved  with the cooking and baking process.  They like to make their own mini pies 🙂

6.  Have you had any Turkey mishaps? Have you learned anything about cooking a Turkey or any dish for Thanksgiving over the years?

My husband makes the turkey! I don’t want to ruin perfection, so I stick to the sides.

7.  Indians or Pilgrims? Whose side are you on? Do you think we’ve lost some of those old world traditions that were started WAY back?

Native Americans.  The Pilgrims were shady!!
Yes, I think we have lost some tradition, but at the same time I think we’ve made our own… right?

8.  Have you ever been to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or watched it? Do you have a favorite float or balloon?

Sadly, I have not been to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; we watch it on TV every year.  My babies love to see all the floats! We love seeing Arthur, Snoopy, and the Sesame Street gang.

9.  Yay or Nay on Cranberry Sauce?

Nay to the can stuff– blah!
Yay to hubby’s homemade sauce!

10. Do you really get into the holidays or do you just want them to be over?
I love the Holidays!!! Since becoming a Mommy the holidays have become so magical again, I love reliving these special times again through my babies’ eyes.
