Who here loves a good DIY show? If you answered YES you’re my people, I wish we could binge watch HGTV together. 🙂 I have literally spent a weekend watching home improvement shows, and I have NO shame admitting that. Every time I watch an episode of Fixer Upper I dream of the things I want to do in this house. That is if it were mine. Currently, I’m renting a nice house in Washington, and I’m not allowed to paint anything. I feel like paint is a fun and easy way to spruce up your home, but since that’s out of the question I have to search for other ways to spruce things up around here.

Home Sweet Home: Daydreaming about my dream master bedroom and sharing a secret with my inner circle about our current home. :)

Inner Circle Home Confession:

When we moved into this house we all HATED the kids’ bathroom, it was dark, dingy, and dated. Between you and I (don’t tell our landlord), we decided to change up their bathroom by pulling out the bathtub door. That thing was horrid, it had swans and mildew- I have no idea why it was needed. In place of the bathtub door, we put a bright white shower curtain. The floors were dark green and showing their age. You could also tell that the renters before us were smokers because there were cigarette burns on the floor! (The bathroom also smelled of smoke, that must’ve been the spot.) We placed peel and stick white marble-like tile over the hideous floor and added a few decorative touches to brighten up things. The kids are happier with the change, I am too. 🙂

But I want more CHANGE!

Here’s the thing: we’ll do anything for our kids to help them feel comfortable in their space, which often times means we forget about us. My room is BORING. My husband and I have a huge master bedroom with big windows, a fancy boxspring, a mattress (that’s right, no frame), a dresser set, and nightstands. I would love to give our area a little redo, too. So, I’ve been daydreaming about what I’d like to add to our space. I’ve found some really awesome and affordable finds at Groupon Goods that I would love to get my hands on.

Daydream with me (because we can’t binge watch HGTV together).

Remember those photos my husband and I took on our anniversary? Well, I’d like to hang one of those over our bed like this:

Groupon Canvas Photos

I wouldn’t mind a few customizable throw pillows. I think I’d go beachy. You know I love to create. 🙂

Groupon Customizable Canvas Pillows

We’d get a bed frame! We haven’t had one of those for a few years! I kind of like the minimalist look, how about you? And the price tag on this baby doesn’t hurt either.

Tabletop lamps would be nice. Because you know, occasionally I read in bed. 😉  What do you think about this one?

I could keep going because Groupon Goods has plenty wonderful finds that I’d love to add to my dream bedroom. 🙂 A girl can daydream, right?

What room in your house needs love? Did you ever move in somewhere and not notice all the flaws until after you signed the papers?

I would have so much fun watching HGTV with you! (That’s the one channel I really miss not having.)
I really want to finish updating our bathroom, and our enclosed porch. I have to say, it looks like you did a great job with the kids’ bathroom!

For us, it’s our master bedroom. It needs love! Like those great photos! And we need an actual headboard. And pillows. And master bathroom stuff. FUN!! I love Groupon.

I love HGTV too and we binge watch all the time. I have no design sense so I wish someone could come in and just do it for me, because I love the finished look. I’ve always wanted pictures going up the walls of the staircase, but I’m too OCD to even think about hanging all of them perfectly spaced apart!

    Ooh I love that lamp.

You guys did a great job with the bathroom – I’d never know that was peel & stick on the floor!

So, can I ask? How well did the peel and stick tile last over time with the water of the shower and moisture over time? Genearl wear and tear?

I absolutely love those canvas pictures you have above your bed. We have one, but it’s not great quality, I don’t think.

I know what you mean about needing a bedroom makeover, we spent so much on the house that we did not have money left for the interior rooms… The Bedrooms are plain and unattractive… Thank you for the inspiration…

I love how you updated the kids bathroom with the peel and stick tiles. I would never have thought of that. Also, I think you should go for the bed frame. When we got our headboard and bed all nice it made a drastic difference in just the way I thought about bedtime. I love walking into our room.

I love your work with Groupon but I have to tell you, the quote by Laura Ingalls Wilder is what caught my attention. Bravo.

I love the idea of the canvas pictures, my mum has some printed when we do family photos and I want to get some done for our home, they always make it seem more homely to me!

Our last home was a disaster, and we noticed once we were moved in. I vowed to never go through that again, so we plan to take our time with our next home purchase. I love Groupon, and it’s a great way to save!

My kitchen is in need of an update. I loved the way it looked 12 years ago, but now it’s time for a change. I want to paint the walls and the cabinets. I also want to change the flooring and make some new curtains.

We just purchased a new home and we’re updating every room. At the top of my list is getting rid of the hideous popcorn ceiling and the peachy vomit colors they painted all the walls. I’m aiming for a glam farmhouse feel and can’t wait until it’s all finished.
