Thank You Notes
I know I said I wasn’t sure if Thank You Notes would be a thing here in 2017, but today it seemed like the right thing to do.
Thanks, Obama
Thank you, Mr. Obama, for giving me hope eight years ago. I won’t lie, I wasn’t all OBAMA, OBAMA, I’VE GOT A CRUSH ON OBAMA. I’ve always been a little skeptical about politicians (just keeping it real). When president Obama was elected president I had just given birth to my baby boy (a few months earlier). I remember holding him as my husband was passed out next to me on the couch, my girls were sleeping comfortably in their beds, it was just us two up waiting on the results. I cried over my little brown son, tears of joy and hope that maybe, just maybe, things had changed for everyone. We could see past color. I believed in hope and change, and that’s because of America and Mr. Obama’s message.
Thank you, Obamas, for sharing your love/family with us…
Thank you, Michelle Obama, for supporting our military families, being a wonderful example as a mother, and of course getting America moving and gardening. 🙂
Moms have moves too..
Dads? 😀
Thank you, Mr. Obama and Mrs. Obama for the laughs.
I realize this probably wasn’t meant to be funny, but it’s funny… 😀
Thanks for having a sense of humor and your willingness to laugh at yourself.
I’m just throwing this in here, because CUBS!!!
From one 44 to another, thanks for finally giving @FLOTUS and generations of hopeful fans a @Cubs championship. pic.twitter.com/RnLyTYF2ub

Thank you, for equality.
Thanks for having heart and sharing your emotion with us.
And of course we can’t forget the bromance. 🙂
These eight years weren’t perfect, but these eight years were appreciated.
Wishing you a lovely Friday!!
XOXO

January 20, 2017 at 12:37 pmI’m really going to miss the Obamas! I was so thinking you would do a tribute to them when I say the Tonight Show episode with Michelle! 🙂

February 2, 2017 at 7:05 pmTamara is right, I think a lot of people felt safe with Obama as president. I know I felt safe, but now I don’t feel that safety anymore. I’m going to miss the Obama family in the White House. But I’m happy they get a chance to be somewhat regular citizens again. I loved seeing Barack with his hat on backwards and Michelle with her cut off shorts on. They deserve a break.
