Thank You Notes| A weekly link-up of gratitude inspired by Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress| Fridays

I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means: Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!

Last week I decided to take a little break from the blog. Sorry, I should’ve mentioned I wasn’t posting Thank You Notes, but it was a last minute decision. I would still like to see your thankful posts from last week if you posted any. 😉

After the events that took place on Wednesday some may find it hard to see anything to be thankful for. It may be easy to start thinking nothing is going right in life and let fear set in. I myself have wondered where and what’s next, but I’m certainly not giving up on faith in humanity and gratitude. I’ll forever be thankful for the little things that make me smile on the darkest days, the big things too.

Thank you, Washington, for your beauty, even if I’m not a fan of your winding roads.

Thank you, mock Germantown, for letting me feel like I’m back in Germany or Shrek 2. 😀

Seriously, Leavenworth, WA. is beautiful. My family and I had such a yummy good time there.

We showed up too late to the Gingerbread Factory, it closed at 6. 🙁 But hey, photo op 🙂

Thank you, family, for a nice Thanksgiving. (Sorry I’m not allowed to share the family Thanksgiving picture because a certain somebody asked me not to. We weren’t all feeling well.)

Happy Thanksgiving!!? I hope you all had a yummy good time with your families. I wanted to leave an early Thank You Note here because I’m not sure if I’ll post tomorrow on the blog. ——————————————- Thank YOU! I’m so thankful for all your love & support. I never imagined that blogging & social media would introduce me to such awesome & amazing people I would soon call friends. I’ve fallen in love with your family, humor, personalty, style, recipes, and kindness. Thank you, Disney World, for introducing me to Johnny Appleseed cake! ?? Thank you, Pinterest, for supplying me with the recipe. Annnnd can I thank myself? Yes? Because DAMN! My cake was hella good. ? Thank you, @opheliaweiner, for that awesome #lecreuset giveaway last year! Wishing everyone a happy weekend! XOXO?

Thanks for the party gal. I linked last week’s too. Loved your pictures of the season. Winding roads, we have a lot of those too around our parts. I dislike driving them too.

Winding roads are beautiful, especially on a postcard, not so much in real life when it’s kind of snowy out.

Loving the concept of pie and poetry.

I think it’s easy to let fear rule us…but what kind of life is that? I will fight against that every day.

The pie and poetry was too cute! The kids read the cutest turkey/Thanksgiving poems to us and then we all feasted on pie. 🙂

I agree fear is a nasty thief we don’t want in our life stealing our joy. I love that you stand up for what you think is right every day. I love reading your thoughts on the world. 🙂

It looks like you guys had a great time visting the German inspired town. I’m not German, but I would love to visit a town like this. It’s always fun to learn about different cultures and even more fun to try new foods 🙂

      We had a blast 🙂
I agree it’s great to learn about different cultures, plus it’s good for the kids too.
We need more learning of other cultures in this world.

Leavenworth looks like an adorable town! Seriously, I really want to come out to Washington and do a Pacific Northwest trip. One of the days. Though it does look cold there, brrrr!
I can’t get over what’s going on in our country right now, but like you said, there is still a lot to be thankful for. Thank for this weekly reminder!

I get anxious about germ fest too! Why is it everywhere?????
This week was a dark one, both personally and globally. I think the last month, actually. And maybe more in the future and I try really hard not to fall into that deep, dark hole. That’s all we can do. Try as hard as we can. XOXO

I helped at the kiddos’ school yesterday, when I called my husband to see if he was coming home for lunch in the school parking lot, he asked me if I had sanitized. LMBO!! That’s usually my role!!

I’m trying not to think about the what ifs… it’s hard in times like these, but I’m really trying. It’s all we can ever do.
      XOXO

Yay!! You made it to Leavenworth!! It’s so beautiful, isn’t it? We didn’t have any snow really when we were there, so the roads weren’t scary. We got coffee at the Gingerbread House every morning we were there. And I love the food!!! Love all the photos!!

Looks like you had a great visit to Leavenworth. What a fun trip despite the winding roads. Love the pic of Santa in the sleigh and the kids in front of the gingerbread house. I was a fan of German food too until we ate it almost every day for two weeks. Where are the vegetables people? Thank goodness we found passable Mexican, Spanish, & Italian food. The only way we survived. : ) Love the pose with the older sisters. My youngest is like that too, always wants to be like the big kids, but I say “no”! Please stay little forever. He’s not listening. Have a great weekend!
