I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:
Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!
In times like these it’s easy to be thankful and it’s just as easy to be hateful. I choose to be thankful. Since I’ve started this blog, there have been plenty of times that I’ve had to reflect on unfortunate and horrible events that have touched our world. We’ve had so much heartache over the past few years, it’s sad, troubling, and stupid.
When you’re a parent you want to think you’ve brought your children into a safe environment with love, kindness, and grownups who can get along. But as long as people “grownups” cannot accept that other people live, love, and think differently we’ll always be at war. Acceptance doesn’t mean you have to live, love, and think the same way, it just means you can live with the fact that others are different, and that’s okay. We do NOT have to all live, love, and think the same, that would be boring. I love that we’re a melting pot, we learn from others when it’s that way. So, with that it’s time for some thank you notes….
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes:
Jimmy had TWO Thank You Notes segments last week!
Thank You Notes
Thank you, good samaritans, who did so much this weekend for others.
Thank you, Sunday mornings, for being lazy as well as the perfect excuse for donuts. 🙂 We needed them, us adults, although to be honest.. I was more excited that they matched my flowers than how they tasted. Sometimes things don’t taste as good when you’re a little blue.
Thank you, uncle and cousin, for being yourselves in spite of that hate you may receive for doing so. I LOVE YOU.
Thank you, Tamara, for your help! I love you too!!
Thank you, kiddos, for staying true to your convictions. You make me proud and you know I love you! Speaking of staying true to your convictions have you read my friend Phyllis’ post about her awesome daughter Gia?
Thank you, little girls who got in my line at field day for the the football toss competition. Extra thank you to the little girls who didn’t say negative things about themselves before trying, and big shoutout to those who did but showed us that girls can play ball too even when they think they can’t. #LikeAGirl!!
Thank you, One of Rosa’s Petals, I’m still in love with my Frida Necklace, and I think I always will be. 🙂
Thank you, #CreativesBoxSwap swappers!! The party is about to get started, and I cannot wait. 🙂 And of course big THANK YOU to BEV for being my partner on this.
Thank you, Anthony Kiedis, for saving a baby’s life while filming Carpool Karaoke. (CBS did not air the scary & heroic event, but Anthony Kiedis revealed the story on air during an interview.)
Thank you, FRIDAY!! It’s the last day of school and we’re about to get our summer on. 🙂

June 17, 2016 at 6:31 amToday’s Thankful Friday is a bit somber for me. It has been a difficult week as you well know around our country and the sadness my heart has felt just didn’t have me writing my typical post. Your Thankful Notes is the only one I will link today and I share that because you, my friend, understand. Sometimes the attention has to be brought to a greater cause, a greater purpose than ourselves. I love your tribute today on your post to love! As always, I thank you for YOU! Blessings this weekend and yes, love rules over hate.

June 17, 2016 at 4:44 pmI wish that people would respect and love people enough to allow them to be true to themselves. I hate it that people try to use religion as a means for expressing hate against others. It’s sad that so many people lost their lives on Sunday when they just wanted a have a good time. I hope that we can get assault rifles banned, because no one really Needs to have that type of weapon for their personal use.
I’m thankful that your cousin and uncle choose to live in their truth. I think it is unfortunate that so many people think that they have to hide who they really are.

June 17, 2016 at 9:31 pmI wish doughnuts and flowers could fix all the world’s problems. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful world to live in? But, I do think thank you notes help make the world a better place.

June 18, 2016 at 2:53 pmThank you for inspiring me to write a blog post yesterday. It’s been a tragic week, and it’s important to spread more love into this world right now. I want us to celebrate our differences, it’s what makes the world a more magical and beautiful place!
