I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:

Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!

Jimmy’s Thank You Notes:

Thank You Notes

Thank you, for all your visits last week and this week. I’ve been slow with replying, but I think I’ve almost caught up with visiting back. I hope. As I stated last week my wrist has been on the fritz, I’ve been trying to rest it… hubby’s orders. 😀

Thank you, babe, for purchasing my new fancy smancy don’t-hurt-your-wrist-anymore keyboard, wrist pad for the mouse thing, and my super cool wrist brace (extreme sarcasm with that last one). 😀 Also, thank you for being there for me this week through the tears. I love you!

Thank you, old school burger joints for making me feel like at any time The Fonz will show up. 🙂

Thank you for the laugh, mini me.| I'm silently judging your grammar.

Thank you, carpool karaoke! GWEN!! I want to know her secrets too.

Hey Mama!

Thank you, mom, for all the happiness you bring to our family.  Also, for teaching me when life hands you limes, make margaritas. 🙂 We’re due for a margarita together!

Thanks, Mom, for teaching me when life hands you limes...MARGARITA TIME! | Thank You Notes

This may come as a shock to you but I was a bit of a smart aleck. I shouldn’t have saved all the drama for mama, but sometimes I did. Regardless, my parents will tell you I was a good kid, and they would be right. Well, as far as they knew I was pretty darn awesome. The biggest gripe was always: YOUR MOUTH IS GOING TO GET YOU INTO TROUBLE. (I may say that to a kid or two or three) That’s still true. 😀

Anyway, my mommy has been there for me when I needed her, which means she’s there for me all the time. We love to crack each other up. We’re currently waiting on the results of my mom’s genetic DNA!! My mom turned 60 at the end of April, my husband and I purchased a genetic DNA kit for her. She’s always been interested in finding out more about her ancestry. As far as we know she’s supposedly: Spanish, French, and a little bit Irish. I CANNOT WAIT to see what I’m partly made of. Have you done genetic testing?

Psst.. I wrote this post last year for my mama. 🙂 You may cry.

Did you catch yesterday’s post? I’ve been a bit of funk, so this post isn’t the most cheery post….

I wish I could say I was dreamin’ when I wrote this, but please do forgive me if I go astray. When I woke up this morning the sky was all purple my mind was everywhere. I was trying to run from my own destruction of my thoughts

Happy {early} Mother’s Day!!

Carpal Tunnel, I know very well about that. The keyboard I will have to find out more about that. I wear an ugly brace to sleep in so I don’t curl my wrists. I can’t say it helps al that much. Heading over to read mama’s post….Happy Mother’s Day Dean.

I want to do the DNA testing one day. I think that it is so cool that you can get your DNA tested and find out what you are. I also think it’s cool that you can find cousins and family members on sites like Ancestry with you DNA test.
I hope your wrist starts feeling better. I had mother’s thumb after my daughter was born and it was awful. However, I did learn that gluten was the problem and when I cut it out my mother’s thumb went away.

Genetic testing would be fascinating! We’re such mixes here.
I really love old school burger joints. There’s one in CT called Shady Glen. Have you heard of it? Look it up if you can. I went there when I was pregnant with Des but didn’t know it yet. Months later when I told my in-laws I had been pregnant that day, “Is that why you ate so many pickles???”
No.. no.. I do that anyway!

Sorry about your wrist! That’s tough.

Hope your wrist is doing better! I think the DNA testing for genealogy is so cool. My brother and grandmother did it, and it was fun to see the results. Hope you have an awesome Mother’s Day!

Hi girl! You know your thank you notes always puts a smile on my face. I hope you had a great Mother’s Day! I love all the pictures. What an awesome gift you gave your mom! That’s very interesting. I’d love to find out my ancestry as well. What a lot of people don’t know or understand is that being ‘hispanic’ is not a race. Being ‘hispanic’ simply means that we are spanish-speaking people but we come in all colors and races and we’re usually a big mix. The elders in my family claim that we’re Spanish/Italian but I suspect there may be a few other things in the mix. I’d love to know what that is. 😉 xx

My friend recently did genetic testing to find out about her ancestry and she found out she has Jewish ancestry which I always thought she may have — I thought that was cool 🙂
Hope your wrist is doing better. The better keyboard and mouse should help!

Every time i read this post of yours, I think to myself I NEED to write my own thank you aka gratitude post. It’s so fun to read yours and it’s a gentle reminder that life is not meant to be perfect but we can find all sorts of joy by being grateful in life. I hope your Star Wars day ended up being great.
