I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:
Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes:
Thank you, Jimmy!
I’m doing something different this week, I’m not writing my Thank You Notes. Maybe I’m in a corner silently jogging in place trying to beat the love of my life at our Fitbit challenge, or maybe I’m spring cleaning, OR maybe I’m putting the kids to bed while the love of my life writes Thank You Notes.
I’m letting my husband write today’s Thank You Notes! I opened up my blog and I let him go (even picking his own images) … let’s see where he went. 🙂
Mr. AOK’s Thank You Notes
Thank you, Babe, for not putting any of my mess ups out on the internet.
Thank you, babe, for being the Sports Unicorn that you are.
Thank you, for being a goof with me and watching the Office on Netflix… again.
Thank you, for being the Chopped Champion of our house.
Thank you for always being the parent that helps with Algebra. If a good grade is the goal, they do NOT want my help.
Thank you, for Starbucks dates.
Thank you, for saying yes almost 15 years ago.
Thank you, for being the best Momma in the whole world to our 3 monkeys.
Thank you, for joining the Magical Mystery Tour with me.
Thank you, for always being ready to battle for a Quaker Oats Championship at anytime.
(Ask her to explain this in the comments)
Thank you, for being my best friend…I love you!
Thank you, for promising to play The Grinch Song at my funeral as our own inside joke when we are old.
For those of you that are reading this who are not my babe, this is not a husband saying a bunch of stuff to blow his wife’s head up. I believe all of these things. I have told many people about the Unicorn, the Chopped Champion, and many of the other things I am thanking her for. This is real life, and if it is this good after almost 15 years I can’t wait for the rest of the years!
Thank you, babe!! You’re the best!! In my eyes we’re the Quaker Oats champions of marriage, parenting, and laughter. I love you!!!
Seriously you have to love this guy. Me: Thanks, babe! Mr. AOK: Don’t be surprised if you get more views than you’re use to. 🙂 Annnd that’s why we work: two smart a**es. Although, it’s rubbing off on the babes…
Who or what gets a Thank You Note from you this week?

March 4, 2016 at 8:57 pmThank you, Charlotte. I agree he has certainly earned his keep this week. ?
Quaker Oats Championship…
Growing up my husband’s dad would make every challenge big or small a sanctioned “Quaker Oats Championship” we’ve kept the tradition. You can win Quaker Oat’s of winning a game of Uno, cleaning your room the fastest, finishing a race first, stuff like that. We have a Quaker Oats tub where we keep our wins. ? I know we’re nuts.
For our funerals we want it to be fun, so we picked songs to make people laugh. “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” and “The Grinch” again, I know we’re a bit kooky. The best ones usually are? 🙂
XOXO

March 6, 2016 at 2:31 pmGreat post. Your hubby is so sweet. The two of you deserve each other. <3 Now, what is the 'Quaker Oats Championship'?
MrsA0K2001
March 7, 2016 at 2:49 pmThank you, Vashti! I’m thankful for our relationship, it’s been the time of my life. 🙂
Quaker Oats Championship is something my husband’s dad started, it’s the title you want to win. For instance, a card game can be sanctioned a Quaker Oats Championship game, whoever wins wins the title. We’ve added a Quaker Oats tub to hold the titles. We write them down with dates and stick them in the tub. I think it’ll be fun to go through the wins with the babies when they’re older. 🙂
