Thanks for sharing your moms with us last week! 😉 Lack of dance moves and horrible bottom teeth…. Blind pianists
Dyslexic and wrote three books and has acted in multiple films
Born without a right hand, but played baseball for the MLB and the Gold Medal U.S Olympic team as a pitcher
Artist who suffered tons of pain and spent most of her days alone due to her injuries
Everyone has setbacks… pains… flaws… but it’s our ability to overcome these things that make us great. We can be “all right” despite bad teeth, horrible dance moves, lack of vision, dyslexia, or being impaired. They only set us back if we allow them to. Keep chasing your dreams… you got this! 🙂 xoxo

May 12, 2015 at 10:42 amThe things we think are flaws can propel our journey and actually make us standout in the business world. I wonder how many amazing people the world misses out on, because they are trying to hide behind something rather than embrace it. Thanks for sharing.

May 13, 2015 at 1:53 pmWonderful point, Lori! I’m sure there are countless {brilliant} people out there with huge ideas, but their fear or “flaws” are keep them back. I wish we could all embrace our flaws.

May 12, 2015 at 1:34 pmHey girl, I love this post!! Such a positive spin; sometimes our flaws, our weakness’ are actually our best qualities huh? Thank you for reminding me of this!! XO

May 13, 2015 at 1:56 pmYes, I would like to think so. Sometimes our flaws make us stronger, help us see things differently, and teach us how to help others.

May 12, 2015 at 1:45 pmOh, that quote from FrIda Kahlo is gold! We are all strange and flawed, and that’s okay. We got this 🙂

May 13, 2015 at 2:04 pmIsn’t it! I love Frida. We are all strange and flawed indeed… and it’s totally cool. “The best people usually are.” 😉

May 12, 2015 at 2:51 pm“Everyone has setbacks… pains… flaws… but it’s our ability to overcome these things that make us great.” So true! It’s amazing what talents and capabilities we have when we set our mind to something. Our paths depend so much on the choices we make and how we define ourselves, both positive and what others might consider “setbacks”.

May 13, 2015 at 2:14 pmYes! Sadly, sometimes, it takes us forever to notice that. When we stop tripping over ourselves oh the places we’ll go. I am finally getting better at addressing this very issue within myself.

May 12, 2015 at 2:59 pmAmen, sister! Overcoming setbacks is some of life’s greatest moments – even if you’re suffering in the moment. I have to keep telling myself that… xoxo

May 13, 2015 at 2:17 pmI am right there with you. It has taken me FOREVER to finally start seeing flaws as something to embrace, fuel me, and move on.

May 12, 2015 at 10:13 pmI love Reba’s quote!
I have anxiety and I’m not sure if I’ll ever do anything amazing with it, but sometimes each day can feel amazing because I got up and worked and parented and loved.
So there’s that!
MrsA0K2001
May 13, 2015 at 2:22 pmI think it’s amazing when you go days, weeks, or maybe even months without letting anxiety win. When you walk into a situation that usually would make you extremely anxious, but decide to fight versus flight, that’s pretty damn super IMO. Also, sharing your story and giving advice to those on the other end that hold their secrets in, the ones who hide their on battles, they think you’re amazing for sharing and helping…. at least I think so.

May 13, 2015 at 11:19 amI love that quote from Frida – someone recently shared it with me and it’s such a beautiful one. Great post – it’s important for all of us to love our flaws, they DO make us who we are! 🙂 xxo

May 16, 2015 at 4:56 pmWonderfully presented! The Frida Khalo quote is so moving. I wish I’d read that as a teenager.

May 18, 2015 at 2:16 amIn my twentis I hated the way I looked and felt. In my thirties I realized I was perfect the way I was, I am who I am and I love myself. Our flaws, imperfections, and difference are what’s makes us beautiful, unique, and outstanding! Challenged make us work harder and appreciate what we’ve accomplished
MrsA0K2001
May 18, 2015 at 10:55 amI’m getting better in my thirties, my first few years were tough, but I’m much better with who I am now. Learning to embrace or tackle our challenges/flaws make us stronger or dare I say unique, but in a good unique way. 😉
XOXO
