Getting to know Me, Random

Unthawing.

Unthawing

I’m unthawing. Slowly unthawing. Maybe it’s winter, maybe it’s gray, maybe it’s life or my age, I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been in this frozen state.

Hanging on to words, hanging on to lies, hanging on to things that don’t mind me but then again they do.

Perhaps it’s because I ache. I ache for others, for good times, for really great times.

My connection to this earth and the beings that roam here is by far more substantial than I could ever explain. I just feel.

And if I went into details you’d surely raise an eyebrow or two, perhaps question my sanity.

It’s okay, I do too.

Unthawing

I love with a heart that is pure. I love with a heart that knows we’re all connected. Our connection pumps us with air, it washes us away, it plants, and in the end, we repeat the process again. We’re soiled and we’re soil.

It all matters.

Our words, thoughts, and our actions.

It matters.

There are no powerups, no cheat codes, buuut.. occasionally if you’re lucky, you may be rewarded with a mulligan.

When you get that second stroke don’t waste it.

Slowly, the unthawing is giving way to more feeling and fire.

Feeling and fire are recharging me. Words unspoken will be given life.

Thoughts floating will become random posts strew in the pot of Adina’s thoughts that must be poured no longer simmered.

The tone may change from time to time, but this woman is still the same. Maybe… even better and with fun filters. 🙂

❤ Note: This post was a free write. I wrote the words as they spilled from my mind. This is something I need to do more of. I didn’t fuss over SEO, I just let go. I hope I didn’t scare you off, but this is me… or the unthawing of me.

❤ Also! I wanted to wish each one of you ladies a Happy International Women’s Day!! I have written about being a woman here and I have an Etsy shop devoted to women you can find it here. (Pssst… today I’m sharing 50% off there too. )

So beautiful, Dean! Free writing is the best because you don’t have time to filter your thoughts or censor yourself. My favorite line: “We’re soiled and we’re soil.” Girllll, swoon. xo

Yes! Free flow thoughts are the best and writing is so cathartic. I enjoyed your words and I can relate to that feeling of unthawing. I hope it continues for you. <3

Thank you, Beth! I cannot tell you how cathartic that felt, I needed it. Sometimes, it’s fun to strip down and bare your soul. 🙂 And now the bots are coming for me with that line. 😀
      Cheers to unthawing!

Thank you! The pictures are from my stay in Washington, except the last one with the lady in the snow, I borrowed that one. The lady in the funky filtered glasses that’s all me.

Yes, I need more free writing in my life. I think SEO sometimes sucks the fun out of it all.

This is beautiful, Dean! I love when people write from the heart and don’t worry about all the technical stuff. I can relate so much to your words here. <3

Thank you, Lecy! It’s fun to let go and forget the technical stuff every once in a while, even if it feels like you’ve walked naked on a stage. 🙂

OMG I feel as if we are on the same wavelength because I am unthawing also. I’ve been holding on to a lot of stuff that didn’t serve me and it’s time to let it go. I’m also not always the nicest girlfriend but I can work on that lol. It all mattes you are so right. OMG I need a power up high now. I love the free write! I hope you do more post this one.

I’m unthawing too. And I FEEL. Also, I never use SEO on my Friday posts! Ever!! Sometimes I get green lights in Yoast, but it’s luck.

    Ah, I missed your words.

Oh my god, THIS!!!!!! I feel like I have been stuck in an iceberg, so to speak. Stuck in a perpetual cycle of anger, fear, frustration and sadness. I need to thaw.

Thank you for writing this! 💕

It’s time. We need to unthaw, you and I both. I hope you can break out of the iceberg soon. It doesn’t have you, you have it. And I know it’s easier said than done, but know I’m here. I’ve been there, too. I’m climbing out, and running with fireball power. 🙂

I’ve had all the same emotions and I’m trying SO HARD to let go of fear, that’s the toughest one for me.
      Sending you love and fireballs.

This was beautiful! And if I’m being honest, I feel very similar. I’m glad you’re unthawing though. Here’s to spring and new beginnings!

I’ve had this bookmarked and saved, and am SO glad that I came here today to read, because I needed to hear it. All of it. It’s painful and raw and beautiful, like the thoughts you have when you wake from a dream you didn’t want to see end. I understand. Please don’t ever overthink it; speak these words and your truths more often and don’t hesitate to hit publish.

Also, I have been feeling like I’m living in a similar state lately. I’m not sure if it’s the weather, the season, the changes, my being but something feels slightly “off” for me. Anyway, thank you, my sweet friend. Keep writing and shining your light, and experimenting with fun filters 🙂 XOXO
