My Imaginary Coffee Shop #NaBloPoMo

Posted on

Today, I did something B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Well, bananas to me, that is.  You see, I’m a free spirit, I like to be boundless, creative, and open {Did you just say that’s what she said? If so then… you’re my best friend–HIGH FIVE!}, BUT even I know structure is needed, and it can be good. Ergo,  I have made the decision to put a little structure in my blogging world, and made the commitment by placing my blog on the NaBloPoMo blogroll!!

What does that mean? Well, besides meaning I’m nuts, I will post EVERYDAY this November!  Yes, that’s including my regularly scheduled posts, linkups and what not.  I really want to stick to it this November, please wish me luck!  Enough talking about it, I’m getting to it….

Monday, November 3 Blog Prompt

Write about an amazing imaginary brand or organization you’d love to work with. What would their pitch to you look like? What would your post say?

Well, that’s easy… I’m working with Stelladólares, Stelladólares is an environmentally friendly coffee shop that caters to the community and caffeine lovers everywhere.  Stelladólares, is on the cusp of greatness, finding their niche among caffeinated bloggers everywhere, and lucky me, they found ME.  Their pitch was perfect 😉 For starters they took time to find out a bit about me before emailing me, which I absolutely appreciate.

The Pitch:

Hello Dean,

We came across your blog looking for caffeine-loving bloggers, and BOOM there you were sleeved cup in hand. We knew right then you were a match!  We appreciate your Instagram posts & tweets raving about our coffee;  we thought it would only be right to make you one of our blog ambassadors.  We appreciate your support, your creativeness, and loyalty to our brand.  We want to work with you to inform your readers about our company’s ethos, our new flavors, as week as new shops opening throughout the U.S and Canada.  The ambassador program would include coffee of course, a monthly supply to be exact 🙂  because Instagram!  You will also share 4 blog posts on our seasonal drinks, that will include trips to our shop and brew at home beverages.  Besides free beans, we’re offering up dólares!!  We think great work deserves awesome pay, ask our employees.  If this sounds like something you would be a part of, please email me back as soon as possible.

Cool Beans,

Estrella Green

Of course I accepted!! I’m all about free coffee, and mula!!  I’m also in love with the company, because besides making awesome coffee they care… WAIT I’m going to use that in my post….

My Post:

If you frequent my blog, Instagram, or even my Twitter feed, you know I love coffee, and more specifically I love Stelladólares’ coffee. I’m a fan, I cannot lie, so perhaps this post may be a bit biased, but it is 100% the truth.  I love  Stelladólares for SO many reasons.

STELLADOLARES

  1. The kids love a happy mama.  I’m not saying I’m not happy if I don’t have my  Stelladólares, I’m just saying I’m a better happier me when I do 😉  I think the kiddos can attest to that.
  2. VARIETY. Sure, I can go with a sugar and cream, but I can also go with a plethora of different signature drinks.
  3. Hush money. What the what?  Come on don’t act like you never said, “If you guys are good there may be something good in your future.”  I’m happy that  Stelladólares has healthy yummy options for the kiddos too.
  4. Shhh…. there’s a top secret  Stelladólares menu >>here, and, NO  you don’t have to be a hipster to order the Mason Jar– I promise it’s good!
  5. Green Lovin’!  If you didn’t know I have a degree in green, like for real 🙂  I like to put my money into companies that care about their carbon footprint/impact, and improving it. Next time someone asks you why you pay $3.00 for a cup of coffee or $10.00 for a pound, let them know you’re also paying for environmental support and your children’s future Earth. Of course, after you say that yell, “Take That!”
  6. COOKIES!! I believe there are about five posts around here about how I love COOKIES, and here’s another one.  I love cookies, good yummy cookies, and  Stelladólares has ’em.  Their chocolate chip cookies are the BOMB DIGGITY! Wait until you try their Snowmen cookies this winter, I’m just saying being brand ambassador has it’s perks, but it also means extra squats :-/
  7. Every barista knows your name, and they’re always glad you came.  I haven’t been to a  Stelladólares I DON’T like, the staff is always courteous wanting to know more about me. Okay, I’m a regular, so they know plenty, but still.  The baristas are always happy to help, don’t know what coffee is best for you just let them know they might just make you a pour over fan. 🙂  Or you may find out you’re a tea fan, the tea is good too.
  8. Community Support.  This is important to me to know a company is giving back, and  Stelladólares does that in a myriad of ways.  Here’s the link to some of the projects my local  Stelladólares has assisted with.
  9. Coolest cups! I know that’s a weird thing to add to my list, but their cups are eco-friendly and the baristas are always inking them up awesomely.  It’s actually encouraged at my local shop to IG their cups using the hashtag #SDCups, the barista with the best cups wins an incentive at the end of the month.
  10. Interactive.  A company that listens to their consumers is a stella (star), don’t you think?  Have a suggestion, they want to hear it, they answer their tweets and emails.  Do you want to see a drink on the menu?   Stelladólares runs a contest every year for a People’s Choice drink.  The people’s choice comes from the people, voted by the people, and perfected by  Stelladólares.

So, are you a  Stelladólares fan too?

I think it would go something like that…

Fellow coffee lover here. I haven’t heard of this brand but I love some good coffee so I’ll be on the look out!
Last week my coffee pot broke and I went a whole week without it. Since I am waiting on Cyber Monday to get a Keurig I rigged the machine today because I wanted coffee that bad and it surely made a difference.

Good luck with NaBloPoMo. This is my 5th year doing it. I think I’ve only succeeded twice!!

      Hey Mimi,
FIVE YEARS, kudos to you!!! That’s awesome, I’m hoping I can stick with things, so far so good 🙂

I love your ingenuity! My Keurig went out on me a few years ago, and thankfully I had a backup old school mini coffee pot. I upgraded to a big girl coffee pot, but no Keurig.
      I
t was fun dreaming up Stelladolares, I have to admit, it’s loosely based on one of my favorite spots.
      All the best~
      XOXO

This sounds like a great coffee company! If I come across one, I will have to check them out.
And yay for NaBloPoMo. Welcome to the club 🙂 We’re totally gonna rock it!

Maybe, I need to make Stelladólares a thing, but I imagine Starbucks will be all over me 🙂 Considering Stella is star in Italian and dólares is money/bucks 😉 It was fun to come up with a company for this blog prompt. I actually fell in love with my fictional company, myself ♡
      We’re totally gonna rock this!!!

Oh, haha, you totally had us all fooled! (And I reread the title of your post…woops!) But if you ever make a coffee company, I will start buying all of my coffee there 🙂

I’d love to have you visit 😉 I think you and I both share a love for keeping things sustainable, ethical, and happy– this would make the perfect spot for us to chat.

You know I love my coffee but I never heard of this company before. I will be checking it out stat!! Oh and you mentioned they have cookies so that’s another score for me. Sadly, I can never turn down a cookie. Good for you for doing this blogging challenge. I always think that I could never follow prompts because I’m a free spirit myself. Looking forward to your posts!

      Hey Karen,

I totally think I should make Stelladólares a thing, sounds like there is interest 🙂 I would have to change the name because legally I’m sure Starbucks would not care too much for me using Stella {star} Dólares {Dollars/Bucks} 😀
It was fun coming up with a fictional company to work with, hopefully, a real company will take notice 🙂

I’m still a bit afraid about daily blog prompts, but I hoping to throw my own creative spin on things.
      XOXO

Yay! Go you! You’ll have to open a Stelladólares in Florida for moi. I’m the crazy mama who buys all of the green cleaning products. Method is my favorite and their scents are delicious.

    Do it! Open Stelladólares. xoxo

Doesn’t Stelladólares sound like ‘the’ spot for us eco-friendly, coffee-loving, blogging mamas? I’d have to change the name though 😉
Stella means star in Italian, and dólares ins Spanish translates to dollars/bucks 😉

I agree Method has the best smells; I have a light green all purpose Method, I don’t know the name of it, but it’s heavenly! Okay, maybe not heavenly it kinda smells like men’s cologne, which I happen to like 😉

Is it the lime one because that’s my favorite. I bought the fall cranberry foam soap because it’s lovely!

I live the name Stella. When I lived in Vegas my best gal pal was a redheaded lawyer named Stella.

    1. MrsA0K2001

      November 5, 2014 at 1:28 pm

Yes, it is lime and sea salt 🙂 It smells SOOOO GOOOD! My 12 year old loves their cranberry soap, she made us stock up on it last year 😀

Stella is a pretty name, and a redheaded lawyer in Vegas sounds like a good time 🙂

Honestly that’s the best pitch I think I’ve ever heard. Personal and inviting. And yes to cookies, coffee and happiness. Holy cow, I love that story. The best of blogging.

If only bloggers could write pitches for companies, right? What’s the wackiest pitch you’ve ever received? I’ve had some pretty crazy ones as a blogger and editor of Tots To Teens 🙂
Cookies, coffee, happiness= happily ever after, no?

Congratulations, friend! How does one in Hawaii go about ordering said coffee?

I let the kiddos drink a cup of decaf coffee on the weekends 🙂 They look forward to it every week!

    1. MrsA0K2001

      November 8, 2014 at 12:40 pm

Oh, how I wish this was true. Sadly, Stelladolares will not be offered in Hawaii, well, until I find some investors 🙂

I’d look forward to the weekend too! We have a whole timeline for the kids and coffee, and they won’t let us forget it each year they get closer.
      XOXO

When I saw the title of this post, I thought it might be about going to a coffee shop to write. Sometimes that background noise helps 🙂

If you need it, check out coffitivity.com or Chrome Elemnts which also has nature sounds. I tend to have the news channel but sometimes I get distracted by the story 😉

I will keep my eye open for Stelladólares in this part of the world.

    Happy caffeinating and writing!

I like to have a little background noise myself, I usually play music. If I could get some investors to backup Stelladólares, I’ll let you know, until then it’s still imaginary 🙂
      Thanks for stopping in.
      XOXO
