This month's quote

Show Me How Big Your Brave Is Sara Bareilles|TWSS| Weekly Quote Linkup| writers| bloggers| word lovers| write on| Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress.com

This quote made me think of my daughter. My now… 13-year-old daughter as of 12:12 A.M this morning.

M-BirthdayGirl

This quote made me think of you, because you are one of the bravest people I know. You have shown me time-after-time how incredibly courageous you are, I admire that (sometimes I want to borrow that).

Your friends, loving call you goodie-goodie, smarty pants, and organic girl, that is okay, they notice what you have.  You have morals and smarts, and once again that is admirable.  Do not ever be ashamed of that.  Please never hide it away, trust me.

Birthday Girl 2005

Be brave enough to keep reading books, hoard all that information. I know some may say, “reading is boring” but they couldn’t be more wrong. Read on!

Be brave enough to keep writing. Show me what you got! Let the words flow, grace those pages with your thoughts, and show the world, m’dear.  You have it, share it.

Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress

Be brave enough to dust yourself off when you strike out.  I mean that literally and figuratively.

Show me how brave you are when you feel small.  You are braver than I was at your age charastically, physically, and mentally. Remember what Papa & I have told you, remember what countless teachers have told you. You are amazing, kid.

My little lady and I

Show me how brave you are, mama, chase those dreams! We love you!!

Show us yours

Happy Birthday to your daughter! You have an official teenage girl now! I hope she always stays brave too and it’s wonderful that she has such supportive parents to keep building her confidence.

Thank you, Karen! I am really proud of her; she is not sheepish she knows who she is and has such grace about herself. I admire that, I hope she will stay that way forever. I cannot say I was like that at her age.
And thank you for your kind words!

Oh how I love this!! I cannot believe your baby is a TEENAGER. How did that happen?? This was such a beautiful ode to her. And to you too Mama!! She did not become this beautiful, courageous, wise young lady without the watchful eye and loving hand of a supportive mama. So cheers to you too Dean!! XOXO

Thank you! She is such a sweetie, well, she does have the right amount of teenage sass. 🙂 Not too sassy, but she’s witty, where on earth does she get that?
I gave her a Literary Listography book, I hope she will keep track of her books & read always.

Your picture of you with your daughter is beautiful! Is it from NYE? Happy 13th Birthday! Wow, you have a teenager now. How does that feel?

I’ve had to work on my brave lately. It’s a long story, but to sum it up, liars and cheats can bite me!

I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating your daughter’s birthday! xo

Yup, that was our super fancy NYE party :D.
I still cannot believe she’s a teenager. I do not know who pressed fast forward, but it certainly was not me I’m ready to hit pause!
I have been handling things much better than I thought I would.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been dealing with that. I’m here if you need me!

Oh my goodness, yes!!!!!!!!!! Your daughter is just like my oldest. Reading as if she is starving, writing as if the faucet is never going to turn off. Love it, and enjoy it!!!! Mine is now laying out the school yearly magazine. Be proud mama. Yours just like mine is into sports, awesome!!!! Mine leaves next week to meet with the dept heads of the Univ. for Dramatics and Creative Writing programs as well as the English Dept head. She wants to teach drama and write. Good grief………
