This summer, we, the kids and I, are getting crafty.  We’ve planned different crafty adventures, one of the most recent crafty adventures refashioning cheap sunglasses. It’s a super simple DIY, which does not need much explaining. It is just something I thought I would share in the event you too, were looking for things to keep your kiddos busy this summer.

Here is what you’ll need:

SunglassesPuffy pain

Paper towels (just incase, also if you mess up, you can wipe it away)

Imagination

And that’s it! It really is quite simple.  The kids enjoy wearing their own design, and eh it is something to do.

Happy Crafting!

    This is such a cute idea! I would love to try making these. My daughter is a little young for the paint but I could definitely make a cute design for her.

      Thanks, Karen! Just a thought..if you’d like your sweetie to join you, here’s an idea you may want to try: spray on some glue and let her glitter the glasses 🙂
      I’m sure you could come up with some fun designs. Abby suggested these would be great for parties… wink wink.

    I need tips! I need to know if there is anything I can do to get Dylan to leave his sunglasses on instead of checking himself out in the mirror, laughing, then throwing them on the floor. Eh?

      Hmmmm…. that’s a tough one, I’m still trying to get my 12 year-old to keep her’s on. The littles don’t mind them at all, but for some reason getting her to wear a pair isn’t as easy. She is slowly coming around… perhaps Dylan will do the same.
      Maybe take a cute picture of him with the sunglasses on and let him see for himself how handsome he looks. I may be speaking from experience… {just swap him for her and handsome for cute}

    These are so cute! I think I might make a creeper pair with some green sunglasses with my son. I’m always looking for crafts to do with him. Thanks for the great idea!

    What a great idea. Today is the first day of summer vacation for the princesses (my cousins girls who live just around the corner.) I know they’ll be visiting very soon, and this sounds like the perfect craft for them to do. Thanks for the idea!

    Hey, this idea sounds great to me! I look forward to doing more activities with my son soon. He’s only 1, but we try…LOL. Lately, he loves playing with crushed ice and cups…Ah, well. It is something to do 🙂

      I think it’s wonderful that you’re doing things with your son at such a young age. As soon as my kiddos could hold a crayon or dip their chubby fingers in (baby safe) finger paint we were creating 🙂
      It’s honestly one of my favorite things in the WORLD to do; create with my babies 😉
      Enjoy!
      XOXO
