Thank You Notes: Cowboys, Friends, and Stranger Things

Posted on

I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:

Thank You Notes + Jimmy

Yikes… I love my postal workers. 🙂

Who has been to Dixville Notch?

Thank You Notes

I was running a little behind this week, so I hope you don’t mind if I write a few thank you notes…

Thank You Notes| It's FRIDAY, time for thank you notes!

Thank you, COWBOYS!!

Thank you, babe and baby girl, for being good sports. 🙂

Protecting  the innocent.

Thank you, Bev!!

Thanks for caring, for seeing that everyone deserves love and respect despite race, religion, sexual preference, or capabilities, we’re all in this together. I love you, woman! You inspire me so much. You can visit Bev here and fall in love with her, her jewelry and her sweet family.

In three days I have made 75 #safetypins for necklaces and raised $1125 to donate to the ACLU. It is one of the many small steps I am taking to show my support for those have been attacked and be made to feel that their lives don’t matter as much solely based on their race, their religious beliefs, where they are from, who they love, their abilities, whatever. I recognize what a privileged life I live just because of the color of my skin and how identify. I can’t even pretend to understand what it means to fall into one of those categories. Even as a Jewish woman I (fortunately) can say I don’t understand. That said, this is only the tip of the iceberg. I realize it’s one thing for me to wear a safety pin and use the proceeds from sales of the necklace to make a donation so I can feel good about myself and feel like I’m doing something. It’s not enough, though. And I’ve been reminded this past week that it shouldn’t have taken me this long to take more of a stand for what I believe is fair and just treatment of those around me. I know I have a lot more to do, but this one small step for me in that direction. #handmadewithlove #madewithlove

Thank you, supporters!!

Thank you for favoriting my shop, my shop items and purchasing my items!! Yesterday marked one week in business and I’m happy to say I’ve made a few sales and my traffic seems to be doing really good. 🙂 (or at least I think so.) Thank you!!!

Thank you, Stranger Things, for making me walk into our loft and do this….

I may have picked up a ball of lights and spoke in them too. I only did it to make my husband laugh. 😀 We have lights in there because of my daughter’s birthday party I talked about last week. You can’t see all the lights in there, but there are more and they are colored lights.

Thank you, good friends, who help pull you through.

Thank you, love of my life, for being the best.

☝️?That made me want to hear this song that has nothing to do with being in love with a person, but hey, Love of My Life…

What are you thankful for this week?

Hey Dean! I’m going to check out your shop right now! So happy you started it =) I’ve been a big fan of your penmanship for too long! lol And “protecting the innocent” made me laugh. I kinda wish my husband was into sports so we could have football Sundays, too! I love watching the dog mannequin challenge videos, they are so funny. And then there’s this challenge video that cracked me up: https://www.instagram.com/p/BM4lRPYD7fu/?taken-by=mattmcgorry&hl=en You know, I haven’t been too sure about how I feel regarding the safety pin thing…I think Bev included a very important point that most people seem to be missing, though, which I love: it’s a little too late for safety pins to be enough…Love that she realizes this and is promoting ACTION <3 Great post, have a lovely weekend, see you on Instagram!

Love listening to Erykah Badu!!! Bev’s safety pin necklaces are awesome and it’s even more awesome that she is donating the money from the sales to the ACLU. It’s heartbreaking to hear about all the hatred.

Bev’s current project makes me so happy!
So does Stranger Things. I remember talking with a friend who was afraid to watch it – was it you? I’m usually afraid of anything that isn’t Hallmark but this one gets me good!
