I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:
Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes
No Thank You Notes from Jimmy this week. 🙁 WOMP WOMP. So, Hashtags:#HowIGotFired
Happy FRIDAY!!
I’m a lucky woman to be happy. I’m a lucky woman to have a day filled with festivities planned for my family. To have my family. To be loved. To have today. I know the mood right now in this country is once again, heart-wrenching. It seems like this division, fear, and hate will not leave our side. I do not stand with hate. I will always, always stand on the side of love and equality for all. With that said, it’s Friday, go out there and celebrate life, each other, differences, and make new friends! LOVE!!!
“The river is motion, turmoil, rage. As the river flows, it wonders what it would be like to be so still, to take a breath, to rest. But the rock will always wonder what lies around the bend in the stream.” -Kekla Magoon
July is taking off! Like most Julys, this July has been quite busy. It’s SO busy that I thought I’d write out my Thank You Notes, I hope you don’t mind. 😉
Thank You Notes
Thank you, family adventures, for leading the way to cookies and pie. 🙂 I’ve been wanting to visit Downtown Snohomish. I’ve been to Snohomish quite a few times, but we never walked around their cute little downtown area. I’m so glad we finally did, I found a few new shops that I cannot wait to visit again and I FOUND COOKIES!!!
In Naperville I had Le Chocolat for cookies.
In Charleston I had King Street Cookies for cookies consumption.
And now I have Snohomish Pie Company for COOKIES!!
I know it’s a pie place, however… after taking a bite of my littles’ s’mores cookie; I’ll be back for COOKIES!
Don’t get me wrong, the pie was good too, but y’all know I’m all about COOKIES!
Thank you, Babe, for being my forever best friend!
Thank you, kiddos, for loving books and visits to the library. 🙂
Thank you, to everyone who has joined in on the #CreativeMomLife challenge. 🙂 It’s been fun to see everyone’s creative side.
You’re not too late to join us!
Thank you, neighborhood, for an AWESOME BOOMING 4th of July! This was our first Independence Day here in Washington, and boy do they take their fireworks seriously! We did NOT have to leave our neighborhood to watch an amazing fireworks show. We went outside and felt the boom and the explosive ( 😉 ) energy that surrounded us. 🙂
I wish I would’ve took a few good pictures, but I have no idea how to take pictures of fireworks, they always come out horribly. Tamara? Anyway, my son’s room had a beautiful view of the fireworks. It was such a breathtaking sight to see all the fireworks in the valley with the mountains in the distance.
Thank you, GOLDEN BOY! We love you!!

July 8, 2016 at 8:12 amI love your words. We need to celebrate the good things in life, especially when bad stuff is happening. And showing gratitude to others is inherently good. I look for excuses to thank people. It makes both of us feel better.

July 11, 2016 at 2:44 pmI couldn’t agree with you more! Gratitude goes a long way; it’s good for you and the person receiving it.
Thanks for the visit!

July 8, 2016 at 8:29 amOkay, I want to book a flight to your part of the world just to eat pie and cookies. I love shops authentic like this. I can taste the goodness. Your “golden boy” is handsome and such a little man. Love it! Thank you for spreading love around as you do on social media. In sad times, it is often these little moments of words that encourage others.

He is a cutie, and I cannot get over how big he’s getting. Bittersweet.
I’m trying to encourage everyone to see the positive and be the positive, but I’m just one person who probably needs to do more.

July 11, 2016 at 3:55 pmLet’s!!!
That dress is one of my favorites!! I purchased it in Charleston, and despite it being frayed at the bottom I cannot let it go. I believe it adds character… boho chic? 🙂
How did I NEVER get fired? True story. I never got fired, and I don’t know how, especially while I was a waitress. YIKES! 😀

July 11, 2016 at 9:44 amCookies and pie….yum. It’s great that your family could see fireworks from your house. We went out to community center that has a park and open field to watch the fireworks show for our city.
I’m thankful for my family, for kind people, and for love 🙂

Also I WANTALLTHEDESSERTS in your pictures. Holy yumness. And that picture of you in the chair is awesome. Love your dress! And yes to standing on the side of peace. The past few weeks have really hurt my heart, but it’s nice to see the goodness that lies at the core of *most* people <3
Hope you're having a great week, my sweet! XOXO
