Happy FRIDAY!!

I’m a lucky woman to be happy. I’m a lucky woman to have a day filled with festivities planned for my family. To have my family. To be loved. To have today. I know the mood right now in this country is once again, heart-wrenching. It seems like this division, fear, and hate will not leave our side. I do not stand with hate. I will always, always stand on the side of love and equality for all. With that said, it’s Friday, go out there and celebrate life, each other, differences, and make new friends! LOVE!!!

July is taking off! Like most Julys, this July has been quite busy.  It’s SO busy that I thought I’d write out my Thank You Notes, I hope you don’t mind. 😉

Thank you, neighborhood, for an AWESOME BOOMING 4th of July!  This was our first Independence Day here in Washington, and boy do they take their fireworks seriously! We did NOT have to leave our neighborhood to watch an amazing fireworks show. We went outside and felt the boom and the explosive ( 😉 ) energy that surrounded us. 🙂

I wish I would’ve took a few good pictures, but I have no idea how to take pictures of fireworks, they always come out horribly. Tamara? Anyway, my son’s room had a beautiful view of the fireworks. It was such a breathtaking sight to see all the fireworks in the valley with the mountains in the distance.

Thank you, GOLDEN BOY! We love you!!

  1. I love your words. We need to celebrate the good things in life, especially when bad stuff is happening. And showing gratitude to others is inherently good. I look for excuses to thank people. It makes both of us feel better.

    1. I couldn’t agree with you more! Gratitude goes a long way; it’s good for you and the person receiving it.
      Thanks for the visit!

  2. Okay, I want to book a flight to your part of the world just to eat pie and cookies. I love shops authentic like this. I can taste the goodness. Your “golden boy” is handsome and such a little man. Love it! Thank you for spreading love around as you do on social media. In sad times, it is often these little moments of words that encourage others.

    1. I like that idea! BOOK IT, BOOK IT, BOOK IT! 😀
He is a cutie, and I cannot get over how big he’s getting. Bittersweet.
I’m trying to encourage everyone to see the positive and be the positive, but I’m just one person who probably needs to do more.

  3. Let’s go to Snohomish together! Also, your dress!!!! YES. I want it.
Our pie bar has cookies too!
Oh dear. This post is making me ravenous.

I didn’t.. do any of the work. And I was texting during meetings. Ah, youth.

    1. Let’s!!!
That dress is one of my favorites!! I purchased it in Charleston, and despite it being frayed at the bottom I cannot let it go. I believe it adds character… boho chic? 🙂
How did I NEVER get fired? True story. I never got fired, and I don’t know how, especially while I was a waitress. YIKES! 😀

  4. Oh my goodness, your son is getting so big!
If it’s between pie and cookies, and I almost always choose cookies. Nom nom nom.

    1. I love that both of our daughters made us cookies! We’re spoiled. 🙂
I hope this week has been good to you!

  5. Cookies and pie….yum. It’s great that your family could see fireworks from your house. We went out to community center that has a park and open field to watch the fireworks show for our city.
I’m thankful for my family, for kind people, and for love 🙂

  6. Hello! What you wrote in the beginning is so beautiful and I’m with you. I’ll always stand with love, peace and equality for all too. I also loved the quote. I enjoyed your pictures as usual. That is such a cute little town! Those cookies and pie look scrumptious! What are you doing to me? Ha, ha! You look lovely in your red sundress. Have a wonderful week! 😀 xx

  7. I loved this week’s thank you notes–it’s so infectious when Fallon starts giggling, isn’t it? 🙂

Also I WANTALLTHEDESSERTS in your pictures. Holy yumness. And that picture of you in the chair is awesome. Love your dress! And yes to standing on the side of peace. The past few weeks have really hurt my heart, but it’s nice to see the goodness that lies at the core of *most* people <3

Hope you're having a great week, my sweet! XOXO
