Jimmy’s Thank You Notes

Last week I didn’t really post the usual Thank You Notes, I got on my soapbox instead. I’m taking a break from my soapbox this week, you’re welcome. 🙂

My Thank You Notes

Thank you, babes, for sweet moments like this:Lego Love

And this:

and this:

The other day ago I was a little grumpy. I’m not quite sure why, maybe it was all the news, crappy sleep, or just me. My youngest daughter wrote me a sweet little note (as she often does) that said: Momma, I’m sorry you’re not you’re happiest today. I will make you cookies. Love you so, so, so much. ? Instantly I was all better! I didn’t need cookies… love works just fine. ? I did get those cookies though, a few days later, but boy were they worth the wait! My girls make one helluva tag team in the kitchen. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Today’s prompt for #CreativeMomLife, hosted by @linkouture & I, is DRINK. ☕️ Coffee & Cookies ?

This. ? It’s the little things in life, amiright? Like a quiet clean house filled with reading kiddos. ?? Did you hear me?!? CLEAN house, QUIET kiddos, READING ??? •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I hope my babies look back on their childhood summers with fond memories. I hope they remember that although they physically didn’t travel every summer, they always traveled. It’s my hope that they remember the countless visits to the library for stacks of books and do the same for their (very far distant future) kids. I do not have that childhood memory. However, I’ll always remember purchasing the newest Baby-Sitters Club, Goosebumps, or Judy Blume books, and locking myself away to gobble it up. What was one of your favorite book series as a kid?

Thank you, Mom, for keeping the Texas love strong here. 🙂

And thank you, son, for loving you’re Mama’s Cowboys! 🙂

My little Cowboy

Thank you, Washington, for your beauty! There are days that I wake up and look out at the mountains and I want to pinch myself, because the mountains and the sky marry so beautifully, and it’s mine all mine.

Running isn’t too bad when this is your view.

Thank you, Ally, for my #SPBoxSwap goodies!!

Elvis Stamps and Fun Gifts

Thank you, babe, internet & Leslie Jones, for getting me addicted to Game of Thrones. Sure, I don’t need all that sleep anyway.

awwwwwww love your thank you notes (and that you unselfishly share Jimmy with us each week!) 🙂 This is very sweet–and love all of your photos. Your running view is spectacular! Also I must be the last person on earth who hasn’t watched Game of Thrones yet. What am I waiting for?!

I thought I was the last person, but I see I’m not, neither are you, there are others.

My thank you note would go to my family this week. We’ve been in SC for about three weeks and we’re having a blast catching up with family.

Life doesn’t get any better than having a clean house that is quiet with kids reading books 🙂 I always loved reading as a kid during the summer. So I love participating in the Summer Reading Club at our local library. To encourage my own kids to read they might not normally read over the summer break. They have a bingo card that has spaces for different types of fiction and non-fiction books. So we end up checking out a variety of books during the summer. Then once they read the books and get a bingo they earn prizes.

I love when libraries have fun programs like that for the kiddos. 🙂 I know my kids enjoy them too.

I have never seen Game of Thrones, but fun fact. I grew up with Peter Dinklage. No, we’re not friends, but his mom was my library teacher – Mrs. Dinklage. And she was active with my mom in a local group that protested chemicals in a local canal. She thought that contributed to his dwarfism.
I really have weird info here.
I love your posts – soapboxes or not.

That’s so cool that you have a connection to Peter Dinklage. He is actually one of my favorites on the show, well, for now at least. The plot always has a crazy twist, so who knows I may despise him later on, I’m only in season 3. I also enjoyed him as Miles Finch. 😉
Did they find out about the chemicals, was there a link? It’s crazy what they use to put in our water. I studied green and sustainable business practices, and via my studies I learned many of the chemicals had adverse effects to those who lived around contaminated waters.
      I love your posts too!

Cheers to summers full of lazing about with books. I was a huge fan of The Princess Diaries series when I was growing up. I also adored anything by Madeleine L’Engle!

    xx
