Thank You Notes: Currently

Welcome to Thank You Notes!

Thank You Notes| A weekly link-up of gratitude inspired by Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress| Fridays

I was inspired by Jimmy Fallon and Gratitude. If you feel inclined to join me, I would love to have you. πŸ™‚

Thank You, Jimmy!

Jimmy’s Thank You Notes: Jimmy did not share Thank You Notes last week, so you know what that means…. HASHTAGS πŸ™‚ #EmailFail

I’m doing a little something different today, I’m mixing Thank You Notes with Currently. I forgot to do a Currently post in May, Β and now June has come and gone, I don’t want to do that again (let another month just pass me by).

June certainly was a roller coaster of a month, not necessarily for me, but for our world. Sometimes adulting is tough. I’m thankful that June ended with love. πŸ™‚

Thank you, Target Dollar Spot, for tempting me with your stationary goodies. My stamp collection is growing and I may need a bigger tub. (shhh)

Thank you, {blog} friends, for shoutouts and reminders that I need to post my Currently posts again.

Feeling optimistic that July will be better than June.

Reading… I’m kind of in between books, I just finished Enchanted August, and I have been flipping through a few books. Handwriting books, mixed media books, and Lauren Conrad’s Style book. I also picked up The Last Leaves Falling

Planning on world domination.

And birthdays. My two special guys both have birthdays and AMERICA! πŸ™‚

  1. I always get sucked into the dollar section at Target! I love their cute stationery. Also, I was just flipping through Lauren Conrad’s Style book. So much inspiration πŸ™‚

    1. I swear the dollar section is getting better. I have always been a sucker for the Dollar Spot, but now with their pretty stationery and glass jars, it’s getting harder to pass up.
I need all the inspiration I can get in the style department. πŸ™‚

  2. Yay for SITSGirls and that Pinterest Party! I love being a Community Lead.
Also, the dollar section of Target is amazing and I often have to steer right by it.. no looking.. and then I think, “What harm could it do? Everything is a dollar!” And then that sentiment is wrong after I like 30 things.
Your daughter’s curls are amazing. I used to have curls and now it’s more like waves.

    1. I love the SITSGirls!! The Pinterest party was fun, it was the first one I have ever attended. I would love to be a Community Lead, something to aspire to do.
HAHAHA! That sounds like my thought process with the Dollar Spot, and it doesn’t help when your kids are like: get it Mommy it’s only a dollar. They’re pushers.. enablers… πŸ˜€

My hair is curwavy it’s this new thing when your hair doesn’t know what it wants to do wave or curl, forget it both.

  3. That dollar section at Target is a killer (and they do have some really cute stationery lately, totally my weakness). Your daughter’s curls are to die for, gorgeous! The food looks fantastic, especially the bacon infused chocolate bark, how is that even possible?? Looks like you are enjoying a wonderful summer so far. Happy 4th!

    1. My weakness too! Darn you Target with your temptation island!! But, it is summer and islands are to be conquered… right? πŸ™‚
Thank you, I keep telling her I would like my hair back. My curls are not as fun as hers.
Oh my gosh if you love chocolate and bacon you’ll love these two together in bar form. Do you keep bacon fat? Anyway you use the fat rendered from the bacon. πŸ™‚
Happy 4th to you too! I hope you and your family have a fun holiday.

  4. The dollar spot at Target always gets me. Before I know it I have like $5 worth of stuff in my cart from there. Sometimes more if I have my kids with me.

    1. That dollar spot will get you every.single.time. They really are stepping up the merchandise there, right?

  5. Eve’s hair is curly like that, and I wonder where it came from! All I have are these odd waves so I end up blow-drying my hair straight most of the time.
You can do some serious damage to your wallet at the dollar section of Target πŸ˜‰
    Happy birthdays to your boys!

    1. Now you see what I’m talking about, your sweet little Eve reminds me of my daughter when she was younger. I just melt. πŸ™‚
Totally. Damage has taken place in the Target Dollar Spot.
Thank you! We have one birthday this week and the other in two. πŸ™‚

  6. Those stamps from Target are too cute! Your daughter’s hair is gorgeous…she better never cut it, lol! I hope you’re having a wonderful and restful weekend. If you all end up going to the beach soak up enough of it for me…and stay out of the way of sharks! πŸ˜‰

    1. I’m growing my collection of stamps thanks to Target. πŸ™‚
When she was younger her hairy was even more curlier, we cut it to donate and the curls were gone. It took some time but the curls came back, thankfully. I always tell her people would pay for those curls.
We did go to the beach, I was on high alert!
I hope you have a lovely holiday!

  7. I have so been wanting to do a Currently post but just never know where to start! Love all of yours…guess what?!?! I have been stamping too!! I KNOW me miss anti-DIY and crafts but I love it! πŸ˜€

    1. DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!! I would love to read your Currently post πŸ™‚
Look at you, I told you, you could craft!

    1. This year is flying by! I hope it has been good-crazy for you. πŸ™‚
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    1. Thank you! I’m so in love with my daughter’s curls. When she was a baby I would be stopped and asked if I curled her hair. πŸ˜€

  8. love the curls…I have curls too and for two years so did AJ…then it went straight…I miss his awesome curls.

love all the photos of your family.

    1. You know, she (my daughter) had these curls since she was a baby, she donated her hair to Locks of Love and the curls were gone! Her hair had a wave for awhile, and thankfully the curls came back. I hope they stay for good. I keep telling her to take good care of that hair.

      And thank you!

  9. Hi! I LOVE your daughter’s curls. A plethora of women pay hundreds of dollars to get hair like that! I also love your little summer collage and the pictures of you and your July boys. This is another great idea from a brilliant mind (yours). I love that Maya Angelou quote. I guess I love everything about this post. πŸ˜‰ xx

    1. AWW THANK YOU, Vashti!! Sending you all the love back πŸ™‚
I always tell my daughter that: people would pay big for those curls.
You used one of my favorite words, I love that. PLETHORA πŸ™‚

  10. Your daughter’s curls are gorgeous, sorry she stole them from you hehe πŸ™‚
I also run a gratitude linky, would love to have you link your next thank you notes there as well πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, I’m sorry she stole them too! I need to find a way to get them back. πŸ˜€
I will have to do that, thank you for the invite!

  11. I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank you notes. Great idea! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you get your your changes made without too much trouble to make your site mobile. You can always get an estimate for help if you need from the designer I recommended via the post you visited. I highly recommend her if you need help. Hope you stop by again sometime πŸ˜‰

    1. Thank you!
