Thank You Notes: Drunk Santa, Thanksgiving, and Waffle House #LinkUp

Posted on

Happy Elastic Pants Friday!! Please, tell me I’m not the only one who will rock leggings today, because Thanksgiving…

I hope you all had a nice holiday with your families.  This Thanksgiving was quite different from last year’s.

Well, I’m a little behind today, but hey is it ever to late to give thanks?

Time for Thank You Notes!

Thank you, Jimmy!

Thank You, Jimmy!

Poor Turkeys…

Thank you, {drunk} Santa, for providing my husband & I with a few laughs while we waited for the tree to be lit this Saturday.  Okay, in Santa’s defense, I’m not sure if he was drunk, BUT if you were there you might think so too.  I mean Santa forgot the words to “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” 😀

Tree Lighting {South Carolina}

Thank you, Barnes & Noble, for having the only Starbucks in the shopping plaza where the tree lighting took place. That place was packed! The barista was phenomenal, he was slanging dem dranks! 🙂

Mrs. AOK, A WORK IN PROGRESS

Do you see that insane line behind her?  My husband and son were in that line, and us girls were taking advantage of some reading 🙂

Thank you, fall, it was nice of you to finally show up.  The leaves are so beautiful outside right now!!! Bonus: We don’t have to rake them up 🙂

Happy Fall Y'all| Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress

Thank you, future bakery owner, for your yummy Thanksgiving pies.

My Tween's Pies

Thank you, kids, for wanting to keep a “new” tradition.  Yes, we had Waffle House on Thanksgiving ( for breakfast this year).  However, we had Waffle House at our house, and yes, my husband left a nice tip just like the kids wanted us to. It was nice to have Waffle House, my own eggs, and of course coffee. 🙂

Waffle House at Mama's House

Thank you!

Thank you for joining me each week, I’m so thankful for each and every one of you.  I cannot begin to express how insanely thankful I am for your visits and comments.  Blogging has brought me so much happiness.

Thank you, Friday!!! Today, besides eating my daughter’s pies 🙂 we’re putting up the  Christmas tree and decorations.  What are you doing this weekend?

Friday, I’m Love…

We had such a great holiday, I’m hoping for the holiday jubilance to continue all season long 🙂
Yes, the kids were happy we went along with their WH requests. The decorating took us all Friday long 🙂

We do Dunkin Donuts for breakfast on Thanksgiving! I wouldn’t mind some Waffle House, but I think the closest one is several states away. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving 🙂

Dunkin’ happens to be exactly what was in my mug 🙂 I’m a sucker for D&D and SBUX, I brew both at home 🙂
We had such a wonderful time, thanks.

Sigh. I love The Cure. I love piano. This is working for me.
And I love the Waffle House story. Sweet and delicious.
We have Dunkin Donuts with our breakfast on Christmas morning (like Bev) and really, never any other time of year!

Me too! It’s getting harder for me to find good covers because the original is by far the best, but I really enjoyed *this piano version 🙂
I love D&D coffee 🙂 As you know I’m a Starbucks junkie, but D&D coffee is one of favorites too. I just hate that they use styrofoam…. we brew at home. The D&D here isn’t as good as the one back in IL…

Your daughter made those pies?? They look delicious! I wanted to attempt to make an apple pie but I just couldn’t get my act together. Kudos to your daughter!! I ate so much yesterday that I felt gross all day today. And I have to admit that I had more wine than I should have because even my mom was throwing looks my way. Whatever, it’s a holiday!!

Yes, she did it all with NO help at all. She is serious about her books, softball, and baking 🙂 Fun, wine, family, and looks 🙂 I hope you and your family had a beautiful holiday!

The Waffle House tradition is new, and as long as we’re here in the south, I guess it will stick 🙂

Waffle House is life. LIFE. And that piano cover is awesome. I want to put on bright red lipstick, tease out my hair, and dance around like Robert Smith of The Cure now. Great post.

I know I’m suppose to say I love the waffles, but I LOVE the hash browns!!
The piano cover IS awesome, it’s hard to find covers that can even come close to the original. Can I please see the red lipstick and teased hair? I would totally dance around like Robert Smith with you 🙂
      Thanks for the visit!

    Sounds amazing!
I make eggs Benedict every thanksgiving and Christmas morning. It was thrilled to discover a time saving trick this year on Pinterest. I made the whole breakfast in less than 30 minutes and the eggs were perfect!!

Considering it took me forever to learn to make a decent pie crust, I am very impressed. 😉

Thank 😉 I’m quite impressed with her work as well. I told her how everyone seems impressed with her pie-making skills, which of course made her happy (:

Lol, that elastic pants greeting cracked me up! I knew it was gonna be a good post from the moment I read that. I always look forward to your Thank You Note posts. Ah…those leaves! Can I be a kid again, so I can go throw them up in the air and then when they fall, roll around in them?! Man…I remember those days. They flew by so fast, and now I’m old and married, lol! 😉

Mmmmmm Waffle House!! I’ve only ever had it twice in my life, but it’s so yummy. I’m a HUGE fan of their Diet Coke. LOL It sounds so odd, but it just so delicious, and fizzy!! It looks like you guys had a fantastic Friday. 🙂
