I love Fridays, I love thank you notes, and I love Jimmy Fallon’s Thank You Notes, so, naturally, Friday here on my blog means:
Thank You Notes and Jimmy Fallon!
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes
Jimmy’s Thank You Notes had me chortling 😀
Thank You Notes
Thank you, Spring Break, for allowing the kids and I some time to slow down and enjoy our time. Although, the time still seems to be running at hyper speed. Today, my family and I plan on being tourist in Seattle. 🙂
Thank you, kids, for each signing up for a day to make dinner. 🙂 Last night my SEVEN year-old son made dinner and it was AWESOME!! 🙂 I won’t lie I was a little afraid but he did a wonderful job with a little assistance. I wish I would have taken pictures. He has watched enough cooking shows with the rest of us that he was putting on a show last night. 😀 Next up… the 14 year-old.
Yup, we start ’em young around these parts. 😀
:::Update:::
I thought I would share the recipe book my son used to make his dinner. Rachel Ray breaks down recipes by age, so your kiddos can trying cooking too. 🙂
Thank you, Kodak, for not just deleting all of our old Kodak Gallery pictures! I’m so glad that they swapped them over to Shutterfly, which is where I’m getting the pictures for this post. I’m totally crying looking at all these old photos.
Thank you, Lowanda!! I won her Spring Goodies Grab Bag Giveaway ! ::running man::: Here’s what I received:
I was asked by my sweet friend @pennychevalley… What Five Things Make Me Happy ?
3️⃣ Creating with my hands and words. My mind is free when I create. ???
4️⃣ Coffee. ☕️ Do I really need to elaborate?

Lowanda has me covered this spring!
- Reese’s Pieces (I love these candies! When I was pregnant with my babies I craved Blizzards with Reese’s Pieces) & an easter egg with Hershey’s Kisses, which isn’t my favorite candy but hey my kids love ’em. Everyone in my family thinks I’m weird because I’m not a Hershey’s chocolate lover.
- Ellen Tracy lip gloss trio
- Shades. I think this is the only shade Lowanda will ever give. She’s a sweetheart, I imagine she packed this box with a smile on her face the whole time. 🙂
- Earth Therapeutics Foot Repair Balm, because you have to have you’re feet looking right in sandals. 🙂
- Advance Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil, my hair totally needed this!
- Anew Clinical Infinite Lift contouring serum, I mean who can’t use a little lift?
- MD Solar Sciences SPF 50 UVA-UVB Sunscreen- will be using this for sure while we’re out and about
tomorrowtoday. 😉 - Elf Vacation Trio: Mint Cream, Lilac, and Punk Purple
- Wood clips for paper goodies
- And not pictured because I forgot I was wearing it while taking the picture 😀 a bracelet.
Thank YOU!! Thank you for visiting my blog, for going down memory lane with me, and for just being a friend!! I love y’all!!
Your turn!! Who or what gets a thank you note from you?
Enjoy your weekend!
(We’re closing in on our last days of Spring Break here, so for that reason I will be slow responding to comments and visiting back, but I WILL do so.)
Hey! Did you miss this post?

April 8, 2016 at 12:55 pmThat’s wonderful that your seven year cooked dinner. I loved seeing all the old photos of your little ones 🙂 You got some great happy mail.

April 12, 2016 at 9:04 pmRight!?!? I loved my happy mail!
My little guy did such a great job; he picked a recipe out of a recipe book for kids by Rachel Ray, she has it broken down by age. He made mini hamburger pizzas. 🙂

April 8, 2016 at 4:52 pmWow, the 7 year old made dinner?? That’s AMAZING! That means, in 1 year, I can expect the same from my son :). Gotta get him to watch cooking shows though. See, TV is good :).
MrsA0K2001
April 13, 2016 at 2:27 pmYou can! I say start ’em young 🙂 He used a Rachel Ray cook book.
TV can be good. 🙂

April 8, 2016 at 5:02 pmAww.. Scarlet would love to cook dinner! She does cooking shows. I can’t imagine her cooking dinner, but she’s only six. So maybe at seven…
I’m not a Hershey’s fan myself. The burnt milk taste is a bit funky to me. I’m a Mars/Nestle fan!
MrsA0K2001
April 13, 2016 at 2:31 pmI think she could do it! 🙂 I was right there by my son’s side and I did help him a little bit, but he’ll tell you he did MOST of the work with VERY LITTLE help. 🙂 Rachel Ray has a pretty good cookbook for helping kiddos cook.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who tastes that funky taste. It has a smell too!

April 10, 2016 at 6:42 amYour family! I just want to hug and squish your kids.
I’m thankful for 6 hours metalsmithing yesterday, and then coming home to Sam & Eve. Eve helped up to make mini flatbread pizzas. We start ’em early too 😉
MrsA0K2001
April 13, 2016 at 2:46 pmAwww hugs and squishes are always accepted here. 🙂
6 hours of metalsmithing sounds FUN! I would love to give it a try.

April 10, 2016 at 8:14 pmI’m so glad you liked everything. What ever you didn’t I figured you could give to the kids. Yay, you liked the bracelet, I was hoping you would. I enjoyed shipping this out to you! Your family is too adorable, I love all the pics you shared. I love how you started them off at a young age with cooking. That is such a valuable skill to learn. One of my boys cooks very well, the other…well he won’t go hungry. Lol…glad you enjoyed your spring break. Take care!
