(I had a different post planned for today, but I decided to wait for another day to share that story…)

Today, I dare you as well as myself to go out into the world and share nothing but kindness & positivity!

Give it away, give it away…

It doesn’t seem super daring, but in a world that sometimes seems cold it’s the little things that add up, at least I’d like to think so.  It takes a lot more energy and heart to be kind and to stick with positivity, right? I do NOT have Oprah money, so sadly today I will not give out cars, I will give:

Everyone Smiles In the Same Language

(source)

Smiles, they’re free and I will be giving them out all day! I will even smile while I’m on the road, I will NOT bad mouth the other drivers on the road.  I know some people think I’m positive, but I have my faults, I can be a Negative Nelly especially on the road. :-/

hello

Greetings. What? Yes, greetings you know: hello, good morning, how are, how do you do stuff like that.  This is not a stretch for me, I usually say “Hello” or “Good__fill_in_the_blank_” to people, but I’m going to give it a little extra effort. I want to make sure I’m hitting everyone up with a “how do you doand then I’m going to listen! I cannot stand when people ask “How are you” and then walk off… ugh!

love-note-300x300

Send greetings. Some of you already know I’m all about sending happy mail, however this is a bit different. I was visiting Ashley over at Happy. Pretty. Sweet, her post Sweet Links had this link that totally caught my attention. Today, my littles and I will make cards for The Forgotten Ones: Compassion for the Elderly, I hope you will join us and send some love!

If-you-don-t

Tweets, texts and emails, I’m good at those and so are you; let’s go out on a limb here and fill up feeds, threads, and inboxes with positivity today, just try it.

Last dare for today apply to be a RAKtivist via The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation. 🙂 LET’S DO IT!! #TWSS 😀

Can you imagine how much better the world would be if we all took a moment to smile at each other and really greeted one another. I’m always pleasantly caught off guard when I’m passing someone on the sidewalk and they look at me with a smile and a hello, especially here in Boston where we’re known for being somewhat frigid. Here’s to spreading positivity!

      Wouldn’t it be lovely!
I catch people off guard quite often, I didn’t think that would happen here in the south, because supposedly everyone is so polite, but it happens. I love when people catch me with a smile and a sweet gesture.
Sending you a warm smile. 🙂
      Happy (almost) FRIDAY!!
      XOXO

You speak my love language. Always! These are such easy, practical ways to spread some love. My big thing is holding doors lately. When I am out alone with the boys; sometimes struggling to carry one baby, push another baby in the stroller, and have my arms filled with not only a diaper bag but groceries too…. and sadly I cannot tell you how many times people walk on by; not offering to hold the door they just walked thru. If you are opening a door for yourself, why not hold it open for the person behind you, or in front of you. Hold the door, say have a nice day, with a smile on your face. So now I am a door opener. Even when I am alone with the boys; pushing a double stroller, I will happily and willingly hold a door for someone near by. XO

🙂 I know exactly what you mean, I think because I have been the Mommy juggling kids, snacks, and bags, I AM an official door-holder. Actually, the kids are really good at holding doors for people. My little gentleman is truly the “official door-holder” he loves to hold doors open for EVERYONE. Sometimes we have to remind him we need to get moving 🙂

As long as you try, and try again, you’re not a failure, m’dear!
You’re always quite positive here! Thank you!
      Sending you a smile 🙂

In a world where people are rushing and often grumpy, I’d say that being kind to strangers is a big feat! Keep being positive, girl! I say you get whatever you give to the universe. Give more positivity!

Aww schucks, no cars!? I thought this was my lucky day, lol. I’ll take a smile please, 2 to be exact! This is awesome that you’re giving out positivity. Its definitely something the world can use more of, including myself. Its so easy to get negativity between what’s going on in our personal lives and comparing ourselves to those around us. I can really appreciate your positivity and uplifting spirit and so glad you’re willing to share it! 🙂

Sorry, no cars. I need to follow Oprah’s road map a lot closer. 🙂
🙂 🙂 < < For: Tenns Love, Dean! You're day is just different when you set out to "try" to be positive- I love it. My day has been pretty darn good. XOXO

I was going to say that I did nothing at all today -brave or otherwise – because Des seems to have a fever. Then I remembered that I dropped Scarlet at school and made sure to grin at people.
I think it makes the world a much better place!

      March 26, 2015 at 4:56 pm

OH NO! I hope Des, is feeling okay. ::HUGS::
See, you’re brave being a really good Mommy IS brave. Being a really good mommy with a sick baby, managing regular school schedule with a smile on her face is brave. 🙂
      Smiles are greatly appreciated!
      XOXO

I have a conversation with every cashier I meet. I know that they deal with a lot of assholes and if I can be remembered as the one nice person they saw all day then my job is complete.

P.S. if you find out where someone’s giving out cars, give me a call! xoxo

I’m the same way!! I try to make them laugh, especially when I’m with my husband, okay, sometimes at my husband’s expense, BUT in good fun. He’s a trooper AND he get’s me back 🙂

I will most certainly call you about the free cars, then we will celebrate over margaritas!
      XOXO

The quote from Oprah is how I want to live my life! Also, thanks for the mention and sharing the link for The Forgotten Ones: Compassion for the Elderly! Little things like sending cards can really make a difference in someone’s life 🙂

Me too! I wish I was more adventurous, I wish I didn’t always consider the “ifs” and went with the “chance”.
I am proud of myself for slowly coming out of my shell though 🙂
Letters, cards, happy mail, and coffee among other things are my love language… thank you!
      XOXO

I like the quote from Oprah. I needed to see it. I’ve got something coming up that I think will be good for me, but scares the crap out of me. It’s a good reminder to be daring!
