Welcome to the first Thank You Notes of 2015! I’m excited to be back, I’ve missed sharing my thank you notes with you. Wait!– are you new here?  Well, then welcome, I’m happy you’re here! Are you wondering what Thank You Notes is… well besides AWESOME eh hem, I mean fun, it’s a weekly linkup to share your Thank You Notes. I was inspired by Mr. Jimmy Fallon’s, Thank You Notes, he shares his thank yous each Friday on his show.

Thank You, Jimmy! His thank you notes are usually funny and a tad bit snarky. I love Fridays!

Jimmy and I both went on holiday on the 19th, here’s Jimmy’s Thank You Notes before he took his break:

Okay, so I have a ton of thank you notes to write out, I hope you don’t mind….

Thank you, Santa, for leaving the five of us BOOMco. Stealth Ambush Blasters, because we weren’t competitive enough already.

Christmas Gangstas

Our Christmas morning consisted of kids vs. parents.  I know, not super Christmassy and usually not my type of toy, but Santa.

Don’t I look so gangsta 🙂

Gangsta Christmas Mommy

Thank you, Amazon, for being a lifesaver this holiday season. 😉 That’s right AmazonPrime for life!

Thank you, Mom, for having the guts to let the others know…. I’m your favorite! I love you

Mom Text

We Skyped with my family since we couldn’t be there, again.  I think I solidified my “favorite” status when I sent my Mom this:

Oh, and thank you again, family, for keeping the tamale tradition going.  The tamales were tasty, Mom would be proud. XO

We had a fun two week break. Thankfully my husband gets 2 WHOLE WEEKS off from work, and we try to make the best of it.  We did.  It was nice.  Babe, I want to thank you for such a fun break.  Also, thank you for introducing the kids to the phrase “ride or die chick” and having Siri refer to you as “Bad Ass Mother F***er” those were fun times in the truck. 🙂  I love you.

Thank you, Dallas Cowboys!!!!  You guys almost gave me a heart attack on Sunday, can you not do that again this weekend, thanks.

Thank you, baby boy, for this picture.  I love it.  Sure, it took me a minute to realize that, that was a Cowboy’s star and not an um… you know… special plant on the shirt.  The munching on the hamburger threw me off 😀  I know, I know, real mature…. did you read what my husband said? He called me his ride or die chick, and I did not tell my son what I thought his shirt looked like 😀

Thank you, Friday, I’m in love!

So, what are your thank you notes this week?  Want to share them here?

  1. Aw, love the NYE photos. And that one of you on Christmas morning is pretty badass 😉 You and your family looks like you have so much fun together. It’s so heartwarming!

    1. Thank you, Bev. I would like to think I’m quite “badass” 🙂
We’re always up to something, and it’s usually a competition.

  2. Those guns are so cool! It reminds me of when we had laser tag as kids and my parents would totally join in “the war”. Your New Year’s Eve partay looks like it was a lot of fun too. What lucky kids your kids are for having such cool parents!!!

    1. Gee :::blushes::: Karen, thanks! Can you come over and tell the kids that. 🙂
Your parents sound awesome. My brothers and I would play have to wait to play “war” (while my Mom and Dad were away), we hot-glued plenty of glass hummingbirds in our day. 😀

  3. hahahah! Regarding what you thought the Dallas Cowboys star was. That is just so fantastic. Thank you for that. The hamburger would have thrown me off too.
Love the holiday photos! Totally in style.

    1. Happy to provide a bit of laughter. 🙂 I’m glad you can see how the hamburger threw me off.
And thank you, if only we had a fantastic photographer near to turn our holiday photos even more fabulous….

  4. Ahh! Those guns made for a gangsta Christmas – fun! You guys looked fab for your at home new year’s party. We host NYE for my husbands family every year and this year it was superhero themed (haven’t posted about it yet).

Yay for thank you notes…definitely all good stuff to be thankful for 🙂

    1. Representin’ Chi-town 😀
Thank you, I wanted to get a good picture for some NY’s cards, considering I didn’t send out Christmas photo cards, yet I’ve still haven’t done that. BOO!
I think I saw the superhero love on IG, which explains the shirts 🙂

    1. Thank you, I’m quite hardcore :).
The kids had fun taking pictures and making videos in front of that backdrop. We have a nice handful of “music videos” on our iPad that they made. 😀

  5. I want to have NYE at your house! It looked like so much fun. We watched Cutthroat Kitchen until 11:30. We’re exciting! Your son’s picture is fantastic. I totally went down the plant path too! Great minds think alike. Happy New Year, love! xoxo

    1. You’re totally invited! We would love to watch Cutthroat Kitchen with y’all, great show. I love that you saw the plant too. 🙂 Great minds indeed!

    1. Hey Jessica-
I’m thrilled this post made you happy :). Thank you for all the compliments, even the one geared toward my hottieee honey, you’re right, and it’s okay. You’ve gotta love that star.

  7. You have such a beautiful family – love seeing all of your smiling faces! But the Cowboys? Oh man. I don’t know if we can be friends! Haha, just teasin’ ya. 🙂 So glad you all enjoyed the holidays.

  8. I’m so glad you and your beautiful family had such a fun Christmas and New Year’s! Love the pictures! I’m going to have to copy your shiny backdrop for New Year’s. We like to spend it at home as a family, but I never thought to set up a pretty place to take pictures. Thanks for a great idea ;)!

    1. Thank you, Candace! I hope you and your family had a lovely holiday and the New Year is treating you well.
I’m happy to hear we aren’t the only “homers” on NYE. I would love if you made a little backdrop next year; it was a hit! I’ll have to check back next year 🙂
      Cheers to 2015!
