This month's quote

January's That's What She Said quote: Don't Stumble Over Something Behind You

Don’t stumble over something behind you!

So, I’m pretty sure this should be the official quote of 2015, right?  I know, I know what you’re thinking, oh hell another resolution/new year, new me post, but not really.  Well, maybe. Totally not my intention, but you never know what will happen… let’s see.

I’m proud of all the bloggers setting goals, focusing on their word of the year, and sharing them publicly, good for them!  I am rather happy to see that there are  many of you out there striving to do better this year.  Know that I am with you, I’m trying to do better this year myself. One of the things I am trying my damnedest not to do, is stumble over the mistakes of 2014.

2014 was good to me, I learned a lot, lived plenty, but there were mistakes made.  I’m tired of getting in my OWN way.  I don’t want to stumble over myself this year.  More importantly, I don’t want fear to rule me this year.  I’m over it. Remember when I said “bold was gold, and doubt was out”(did you miss that post?), I meant it.  I am really over it.  Fear has held me back, waaaay too much!  It’s been a nasty lingering cough that just will not go away.  The thing about fear is it’s all up in here>>> >mi cabeza, and who’s filling this head of mine…..ME!

Anyway, I’m going to try harder at filling my head with more positive and brave thoughts.  I’m going for things. When I walk into a room, I own it!  Whoops, I got carried away. Forgive me I’m watching RHOA while typing this up 🙂

Okay, in the end, I guess I did kind of went resolution-y and new year, new me-ish.  What are you trying NOT to stumble over in 2015?  I would love for you to share in the comments below, but I would love it even MORE if you crafted a post and linked up with us 😉

Yay! If my site ever gets back up I can’t wait to share a post : (
I have to agree that in 2015 I have to try not to stumble over myself. I can be my biggest roadblock. Sometimes I let anxiety and negativity hold me back. I love that last Frieda Kahlo quote too! Right now I seem to be in one of those negative mind frames and can’t feel magic at all. Hopefully my actual post will be more positive!

Isn’t it terribly how we get in OUR OWN way!?!
Let’s work on that together this year 🙂

This is such a fantastic quote! Too often I think we allow ourselves to get caught up in things that happened to us in the past. Though, it is important to learn from our mistakes! In 2015, I’m trying not to stumble over my fear of putting myself out there with my writing. I’m trying to guest post more and *actually* submit my writing.

I have that same lingering cough – fear. And Scarlet has a lingering cough – literally – that pisses me off too!
This will be our year, I just know it!

If only Mucinex worked for our cough… that nasty, pesky, lingering, dreaded cough-fear. I’m sorry Scarlet has a literal lingering cough, no fun!
This shall be our year…. let’s do it!

Go Woman Power. This is awesome, love the idea, and have to think abotu how I can fit in another post or get creative with the ones I already do!

Love the first quote, I always worry about choices I made, did I make a mistake, did I do it wrong. Enough, I chose and I must move forward, no second guessing myself.

We would love to have you join us, Karen! I hope you can find a way 🙂
I’m a certified Worry Warrior, I’m going to *try* to tone that down this year.
I hate second guessing myself… it means I’m usually turning my truck around to head home to see if I locked the door or turned off my flat iron. 😀
      XOXO
