I love happy mail.
Like a lot. Perhaps, my love affair dates back to the days when my Dad was stationed in some far off place and sent us mail. It was nice to receive a letter from him and occasionally stickers. One time he sent stickers that came in a cookie package, they smelled so heavenly. I also fondly remember the days of I Can Read books in the mail when I was younger. Those mail days always made me happy. When I was older my parents were part of a music mail service, do you remember those? You were able to pick out X amount of CDs each month or every 3 months, I don’t completely remember, but it was awesome. My parents chose their CDs and my brother and I chose ours (my older siblings were grown and out of the house at the time).
Perchance that’s why I was an early adopter to Netflix? I was a part of Netflix before Netflix was all digital and chill. Do you remember that? Jiminy Cricket I’m sounding really old right now, aren’t I? 🙂 The best happy mail that I received was from my husband. When he would send us (my oldest daughter and I) letters and random surprises while he was in Iraq, those surprises helped keep me going. I wrote to him like one would drink water. If my writing was not sent to him, it was in the book. I wrote pretty much every single day he was gone in a book to document our life while he was away.
You’ve got happy mail
I live faraway from family and friends, happy mail is a distant hug that I need from time to time. Thankfully, I have friends and some family members who love to spread happiness in the mail, so I’m sending and receiving mail often-ish. 🙂 I’m definitely sending out mail seasonally- I just wrote about that here. Today I want to share a recent happy mail box I received. If you’re a happy mail lover, you’re going to swoon over this. You know I did.
A few weeks back I entered a Happy Mail loop giveaway on Instagram. I honestly didn’t think the odds were in my favor. However, I decided to give it a try because all the shops in the giveaway are awesome and obviously they share the same affinity for happy mail as I do.
Dani from Big Hugs Little Envelopes tagged me on Instagram to let me know I won on a Saturday morning. Saturday + Happy Mail Giveaway Win= Happy Saturday Happy Mail Happy Dance! And I mean like MC Hammer style running man. (Again with the dating myself!)
Happy Mail Unboxed {Small Shop Love}
Are you ready to see what I got?
Before I share all of my goodies… Happy 2 Years in Business, Big Hugs Little Envelopes (BHLE)! (That was the reason for this giveaway. 🙂 )
Dani, the lady behind Big Hugs Little Envelope, is such a sweetheart by the way. She’s a super supporter in the small business community and in her own community. I’m enjoying getting to know Dani via Instagram. 🙂 You may want to follow her there. But I think you’ll certainly wanna check out her shop. “My shop quickly grew beyond greeting cards, and I now feature all sorts of items that are designed to spread kindness and love.” <- You’ve got to get behind that!
BHLE sent me three sticker pages, a set of happy mail cards, pens, and BHLE lip balm. The super cute lip balm holder is courtesy of Brite Designs Studio .

A girl loves stamps. 😉 I’m the girl and I love stamps. I have quite the collection. I’m happy to add Bossy Joscie‘s Happy Mail stamps to my collection.
But wait there’s more…

MORE CUTE CARDS!! The Box Berry gets me with the peace, love, taco card. 🙂
Craft Me Chic sent over these sweet happy mail bookmarks.

May 19, 2017 at 2:48 pmI am in love with your GIF! Mail is a huge part of my life since I moved 3000 miles away from family and friends. I tend to ship off and receive a dozen packages a month. And I am totally going to adopt the name happy mail for it now!
Dean @Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress
May 21, 2017 at 1:52 pmYay! I’m glad you’re adopting the phrase Happy Mail 🙂
I’m originally from Texas, but I left when I was 20. I’ve moved to IL, back to TX, SC, and currently I reside in WA, so happy mail has been such ray of sunshine in my life to keep in contact with family and friends. 🙂
Wishing you tons of happy mail!
